THE ADVANTAGE OF A SITE MAP.
Websites that are properly designed allow traffic to search and navigate around the entire website using no sitemap. However, adding a site map gives users yet another method of locating pages within a site. So, pages that are listed in a site map are, in turn, linked to the proper page, allowing visitors to swiftly go to any page of a site that is listed in the site map.
Setting up a site map for your website is fairly easy to do. Simply go to Google Search Console (the former Google Webmaster Tools) and set up a listing for your website. It is here that you will manage all your site's search methods and ways to allow Google to crawl your website.
