Pinterest is a growing platform where you post pictures and link them to your websites to draw vast traffic! As with most other Social Media Networks, they have recently updated their algorithm and have added a fresh, new look! I absolutely love it!
WHAT IS PINTEREST?
Pinterest is a "web and mobile application company." It manages a software base that was created to explore data on the web using images and videos. Pinterest was founded in December of 2009 by three geniuses: Ben Silbermann, Paul Sciarra and Evan Sharp. CEO Ben Silbermann summed the company up as a "catalogue of ideas that inspires users to go out and do that thing."---instead of describing it as an "image-based social network."
THE NUMBERS ARE PHENOMINAL!
In September of 2017, Pinterest reached 200 million monthly active users!!!!
ARE YOU USING PINTEREST!! IF NOT, IT IS HIGH TIME YOU DID!---AND YOU ARE IN FOR A REAL TREAT!!
In my humble opinion, out of any of the Social Media groups, Pinterest is the most fun!
It is also a great way to gather ideas for website content by browsing through the various photos there.
I just recently on Pinterest hit 56K followers---and climbing!
It's a must if you're serious about expanding your traffic! Go for it!
P.S. I got 200 engaged viewers to my new board I posted tonight for my My Wealth at Home site!

I checked my Google Analytics tonight and there were 27 clicks today on my site from Pinterest!! It really works, guys and gals!

Another timely post on your part. Just getting ready to start Course 4 and felt I am spread pretty thin so was planning to skip signing up for Pinterest.

Thank you Erin..not using it yet (well I have but not properly lol) I've always thought it seems to be a great idea though as pictures and creative ideas are always good and just up my street ..you've just reinforced my thoughts that I need to get more into this!

Having just looked at Pinterest, because I am getting follows now, thanks to 'pinning' I see that you have to upgrade to a business account to unlock analaytics, its not available to personal users
I don't think so, Dave. Just look in the left upper corner and there should be a Pinterest logo that says "analytics" next to it. I got 200 engaged viewers to my new board I posted tonight for my My Wealth at Home site!
Just done that, the logo is there alright, but nothing beside it, except the search bar
When I click on it, I get a load of boards come up
Yet in the right hand top corner are 3 dots, which when clicked, say upgrade to pro to unloick analytics and tools.
Quite possibly we might have different types of accounts
I have never upgraded, though. When you put your cursor over the "analytics," a drop-down menu should come up and then click on "Overview."
Solved it!!!...
The 3 pins in the top right, when you click on the those you get a free business account, then you see what you were describing just now in the top left
So we had different accounts, but now we have the same

Wel lthey call it an upgrade, but really you are switching from free personal, to free business, which I guess unlocks more, either way, the same page : )

Pinterest and Instagram are the two social media networks that I need to find out about and learn their functionality and purpose. One of the next projects on the list!
