My Life as a Writer

Last Update: July 13, 2018

A WHOLE NEW WAY TO SEE.

Being a writer, I have always seemed to look at life in a different perspective. Each new object becomes a kind of work of art to me. I look at a sunset and see a beautiful flaming orange sun closing out the day with hints of red around its tips and surrounded by a lighted sky of lavender, magenta and marigold. To me, the beauty of a sunset describes itself in my eyes as a brilliant masterpiece.

MAGNIFICENCE OF THE FALLS.

I love the intense flow of a waterfall, crashing to its depth with raging waters and astounding strength, yet grace. Describing it in that light displays a perfect vision of clarity. Envisioning the intelligence of a subject infiltrates its personality.

YOUR MAJESTY---MAJESTIC BEAUTY.

Or, when I look on at a mountainside in October, standing tall with autumn colors dancing in the sunlight, and imaging what inhabitants occupy its depth, the magnitude of its power speaks to me.

Objects become alive and take on a whole new and exciting form.-----That is how I find the Setting to a story that will become my book.

NICE TO MEET YOU!

When I look at people, I tend to evaluate their personalities, the tone of their voices or the way they look at life. Are they soft-spoken, long-winded or brazen? Do they wear dignified clothing or have a flair for bright colors? Do they have strong personalities or timid reserves? All these descriptions become the image of my Characters.

WHAT IS YOUR NAME?

Contemplating Names is always a fun task, too, practicing on strangers who pass along the way and giving them strong manly names or sweet and subtle ones. Life brings so many faces of characters whom I've seen at a glance or know in every day life.

COMING TOGETHER NICELY.

Thinking as a writer adds simplicity, yet hues of sustenance that form the groundwork of everything I correspond. That's why words form so freely and randomly on a page! Reaching out to descriptions of people, objects and landscapes mold that subject into being.

BLOGGING MADE EASY.

It's the same with anything, really. Looking at a product, service or trait and seeing it in a different light may help to articulate what your visitor will see when you relay it! Opening up your thoughts to greater circumstance outlines your topic in a more formative, yet colorful way.

Authoring a book, blog or resource should bring boldness and character to all who read it! Think of these things next time you put the pen to paper or fingers to the keyboard. It will allow you to look at your work as a wonderful resource for everyone to enjoy!

IF YOU WRITE IT, THEY WILL COME.

Masterfully setting a course of action when writing, will draw onlookers from every direction of life.

PLEASE LIKE AND SHARE THIS POST TO SPREAD THE INTRIGUE! Thank you!

Erin :)!

Very expressive. Those are the type of things I think on as well. I like to watch people and try to analyze their personality and the way they dress. Brainstorm names or ideas. Usually, I start with an outline and just fill it out - bingo - the words come eventually.

The editing and tweaking - save for the end! :)

It's pretty neat to find someone else who does the similar things.

Great stuff Erin! I really like your ambition and your take on things. I've been a corporate writer for years and am ready to start using my skills to benefit MY pockets rather than someone else's. I wish you all the best in your exciting $50K per month endeavor. I'm following you here and I'll be rooting you on.

All the best,

Writing is something I find hard, I have been like this as far back as I can remember, my spelling used to be really bad and my hand writing looked like a spider had crawled across the page.

It takes be a week to write a post, if they do come and stay a while it will have been worth the effort.

Finding stories and messages within you is really all writing is. When you're inspired, speak from your heart and describe what you feel and see. You will be surprised how much you hold within yourself!

Thank you for your great blog post Erin.

Great photographs Erin, I don't know if you have taken them or they are library pictures, but it certainly brings out our imagination to write something. I remember sitting on the beach with my wife a couple of years ago in Greece and we sat there watching the sun go down, it was absolutely amazing!

I'm sure with all these images etc Erin, it puts good writing material into your mind!

Enjoy your weekend.

That's interesting Erin, there are great photographs. It's great that you have also taken your own photographs, I hope that you can make use of them. It's amazing what a photograph can bring, as you mention it can bring so much light and beauty, I'm looking forward to going to Greece very soon and watching the sun go down!

Enjoy your day.

I LOVE this concept! As a photographer, for many years (geez, made me calculate: more than 50! Wow, I'm old!) I've always looked at things differently, so I know full well exactly what you mean. Now, I need to transfer, translate that to writing, attempt to capture in words instead of images....
Thanks, Erin. Brilliant, once again!

Beautifully conveyed, Tim!!! I am also a photographer and see many stories through my photos. I think reading, writing, and photographing compliment each other nicely! I develop thoughts through my reading and photos, developing them to words, and use many of my photos on client's site, as well as on my own.

I'll bet you capture your subjects brilliantly, Tim! Photography is a very expressive language!

P.S.--You're as young as you feel!

Expensive! Especially when you keep destroying your cameras! I'm working with my 5th digital since I switched, maybe 10-12 years ago and I'm thinking I need to upgrade so I can work with RAW images. UGh!
My trusty Pentax SLR lasted from '68 to around 2004

These are great ways to get inspired, Erin. Although I'm not a writer, being out in nature and surrounded by it helps me think and make decisions. I think the ultimate inspiration would be to sit in a natural beauty spot and write your posts there. This will certainly make you feel more inspired when blogging about a product or service - your words will flow like a river.

Awesomely put! I have always been a writer and even started writing a book (but I didn't finish it), unfortunately. I totally agree with your comparison between all this.

If I had to give one piece of advice, it's to read! That's how one can enrich their vocabulary and words/expressions will come more easily to them when they write.

I agree! Love BOOKS! And if we aren't reading them, who's going to read ours?

Great post you do have a way to bring the best out of a person. The way your words fall together, leads a person to want to read more. I just got quit over thinking things . And just write like you say like I'm talking to you. It's going to sink in soon.

Don’t worry, don’t over analise, just start writing, one word will follow the next. Write, then spell and grammar check, publish. Repeat & repeat & repeat.
