WRITE THAT IDEA DOWN!

The following idea for this post came to me through a reply I was writing in SiteComments yesterday. It was for a Bullet Journal Review.

The Bullet Journal is a system log to help you remember past events, organize your present tasks and create a future plan. It is a kind of manager to handle all or any of your tasks. A journal! It was quite an interesting article.

LET'S GATHER OUR THOUGHTS, SHALL WE?

As an author, I have always kept journals. I write in them to clear my head of numerous ideas for stories, blogs, prayers and thoughts. I have different journals for different activities. This way, I always have ideas to write about!

My Jesus Journal (as I call it), for personally connecting with my Creator. (There is a picture of Jesus on the cover.)

My Sermon Journal that I take to church and write notes from the sermons. On the cover, it says, "STAY TRUE TO YOU AND YOU WILL END UP INCREDIBLY HAPPY."

My Author Journal, for keeping notes related to my books and characters.

My Inspirational Journal to capture expansive thoughts that motivate me throughout the day.

My Every Day Journal for miscellaneous writings, recipes, notes, reminders and schedules.

My Dream Book Journal for writing down all the goals I want to accomplish; & my timeline for when they'll occur.

My Web Journal for all the insight I mindfully gather for my websites.

(It was so much FUN shopping for them---selecting from all the varieties of journals available, and all the beautiful covers I chose!)

Great places to shop for journals are: Barnes & Noble (or any bookstore), Five Below, Walmart, Amazon and Ebay, to name just a few.

WOW! WHERE DID THAT COME FROM?

Did you ever wake up out of a sound sleep with a thought or idea running through your brain? Sometimes I do, and when that happens, I grab my phone and type it to my NOTES. Then I'll add it to one of my journals the next day. I do this often, whatever time of day or night it is!

A Web Journal may be a great resource to have when creating your business here at Wealthy Affiliate. There are endless tasks to do and things to learn here. When you get a great idea that you must add on your site, this journal will help keep it fresh in your mind!

I just wanted to add a little organization to your life that may help you build the best and most creative site imaginable!

THANKS FOR READING MY THOUGHTS!

Erin :)!

Thanks for sharing

My pleasure!:)!

The phone notes add to a journal is a great idea. I often get ideas I am sure 8 will remember the nexr time I get to the computsr but I always forget them.

My point exactly!! lol

I need to get some journals. The rich idea on a paper napkin is not working!

OMGosh! How funny!

No, no, no!! You've got it all wrong!
Paper napkins are for phone numbers!
hahaha!

Kenny

You would probably know, Kenny---ayy?

Not that I would know, but that's what all the bigger boys told me.
hahahahahaha

kenny

Great recover, Kenny! LOL! :)!

hahahahahaha.
I am good at some things!

Yes, you ARE! :)!

Thanks Erin - you're amazing as always. God is using you in a special way! Blessings to you!

Thank you for those dear, sweet words! :)! Blessings!

Hey local girl, how you doing sistaah!???

Trying to get my blog going! Ugh....having issues but Site Support is helping me. My blog was all hamajang and I didn't know how to fix it! So awesome we have our own IT department! Hope you stay good...Malama pono..

"Hamajang!" ohh boy your Hawaiian is really showing. Those around us have no idea what that means!

Great to see you around local girl!

Frank =)

Ohh my blog too, I will get in touch with you when you figure it out,
sistaah!

I googled it! HAHA! "..from the Hawaiian word "Hamale" meaning hammer. Used in common conversation among the local people of Hawaii. Connotations: Negative, but is also used in a joking manner."

Erin, I never knew that was where the word came from. However, we use it when we are saying something is messed up. In this case I was not joking!

Ha ha! It sounds like a word my Mother would make up. She was always creating her own words to describe things, and we all knew what each one meant! My favorite was flablungit. For instance, "The TV is all flablungit again!" --when we couldn't get a picture! lol

Wow, what a smart and meaningful blog I have ever come across. Much mahalos my dear sister!

Y'know Erin, creative thoughts come at the strangest times.
While I'm gardening and an idea comes into my head, I can't just drop my anthurium on the ground without planting it. No, no, no! I just have to hope that when I'm near a paper and pencil I will remember it. I just never know when that epiphany come calling.

I'm a somewhat religious guy and I believe "he" is talking to me with the idea. I even converse with him Erin, lols! Sometimes it comes loud and clear.

You said,

"WOW! WHERE DID THAT COME FROM?

I do believe he's talking to you! I truly do! I get moments like these all the time. I'm not talking about where everybody can hear him, too. No, it's really in my mind. Kinda spooky and neat don't you think Erin. =)

Where am I going with this, you ask? I don't know but you did mention, it is "mindful" and write it down.

I don't write it down because it comes at the weirdest times, lols!

Hey Erin, why do you think I created the site I did. He told me to do it, not me! I do believe it.

Thanks for the platform Erin, sure nice to helped bring it up!

Mahalo again!

frank

Dear Frank, yes, every thought and idea that I've ever had comes from Him. When you dwell in the spirit every moment, you are guided to all types of greatness! It is not scary, but real! When writing blogs here, like this one, I am led and write with a constant flow. I don't even really know what I've written fully until I read it back and say...wow!

Erin, go over to the previous post, I had some alarming comments.
Not about you but me! lols!

Mahalo for your posts. It is great my friend!

Ahh and God too said to tell you that!

Okay, Frank. Thanks!

You welcome Erin!

:))))!

Hey Erin, I'm writing my first blog.

What are tags????

Thanks!

A tag is a keyword or keyword phrase attached to a piece of information (computer file). This metadata describes content and assists when searching or browsing online.

Here are a couple links for you that may be helpful!

i have a similar situation. The one difference being I tend to get my inspiration while I am in the shower! I tried using grease proof paper but its hard to write on. I attempted using plastic sheets, but I dropped one, i couldn't see it, it blocked the drain and I almost drowned. Now I have a little mini recorder. I simply pop my head out from the shower cubicle, record the inspiration and get back to my ablutions.
Hey, works for me!

Hee hee....I like it! It works for you! Hope that recorder is battery operated. Hate for you to get a shock.

Better than a caffeine rush! =)

Thanks!

Frank

Oh, you guys..lol!

Oh, you two...lol!

hee hee. Btw, did he get out of the shower safely? I'm worried. I didn't hear from him.

=)

OMGoodness! LOL!

Great post. Thanks for share

As the post states, I love to write! :)!

Why you not wrote journal lists,?

You mean in a blog post?

Yes

I suppose I could, but they may be too personal.

Oh to be so organised, I have one for all things web and a hundred thousand bits of paper around the place looking for a home. Plus a daily diary.
Better lift my game.

That's awesome, Hanley! You're on the right track! Whatever works for you is perfect!

Hello, Erin,
Thank you dir sharing your thoughts!!
I do have a few of those journals, one for my guitar notes and one for everyday stuff and one for taking notes from Chromebook. I'm going to pick up a few more though for the notes on here at WA. Thanks again for sharing this.

Joseph

Awesome, Joseph! Great journals! WOW! So glad to call this to your attention again!

What? Are we psychic now?? Sorry, the imp got out of control again! TeeHee. Seriously, thanks for sharing your journaling system. Some good ideas here. Carol

Why, do you keep journals, too, Carol? LOL!

Not as religiously as you do. I scribble thoughts all day when they occur (especially when I'm writing and don't want to forget something). Then I transfer it to Penzu.

That's very good, too, Carol! I have reminder notes all over my house, too! Ha ha

I'm guessing a lot of us writers do. I was amused by my cat yesterday. He was on the spare bed that had a piece of paper on it, working very hard to shred it...the paper, not the bed! Think I could patent my new invention...the Catomatic, worlds first living shredder? Oh-oh. I see a slight crack in the idea...George is neutered, so how would I manufacture more Catomatics?

A goofy idea---but I LIKE IT! That may be difficult, though!

Think I'll make my first million that way? Then I can sponsor George into WA and he can have his own website to promote it!

Where do you keep your journals?

Is it on the phone or laptop or computer?

They are actual separate books that I write in.
