Help Google Understand Your Website Content With Schema
WHAT IS SCHEMA?
Schema plugin totally BOOSTS the search traffic on all your pages and posts---hundreds & thousands in minutes with no code! It has the capability of gathering information for your WordPress hierachy (how people are ranked) and read the necessary schema dot org markup across all your content.
Schema markup was designed specifically to convey semantics of web content to the search engines. The main idea for this is to relate more understanding through the posted content. While HTML explains how to visualize content, it doesn't relay any meaning (semantics) to crawlers used to power the search engines. So, adding Schema plugin on WordPress helps Google and other search engines understand your website content.
Schema uses a markup language specifically designed for search engines to enhance the algorithm. Therefore, when someone searches, Google reads the information and then goes through the Schema markup to increase the search capability, thus, relaying better results.
Algorithms need all the input they can get! Using Schema Markup gives a clear meaning to search engines which presents better results in the right context.
WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR YOU IN SET UP.
Once you download the Schema plugin, all you do to proceed is to manually add a few basic details in the setup. Schema is then added to each page and post. It is highly compatible with the Yoast SEO plugin.
Schema will read all your information and compile it for crawlers, boosting your ratings and traffic as an end result!
Here's the plugins it is compatible with:
Schema Supported Plugins
Yoast SEO
AMP plugin (Automattic’s Accelerated Mobile Pages)
Accelerated Mobile Pages – AMP for WP
WPRichSnippets
The SEO Framework
Visual Composer
ThirstyAffiliates
WooCommerce
Easy Digital Downloads (EDD)
Although SEO All-In-One isn't listed, I did a little research and found that it IS compatible. If you go to General Settings in SEO All-In-One, and scroll down to Display Settings, it has an option to check off Schema!
Jay has a great webinar on Schema:
Using Schema.org Markup and Rich Snippets
In the above presentation, Jay shows you that:
- Someone searches
- Google reads the search
- Google sends it to Schema markup instead of directly to the SERP (Search Engine Results Page)
- Schema reads your information, enhancing the search
- Schema sends a detailed understanding to the SERP.
Compared with most optimization work, using Schema will amplify your website's posts and pages in search results!

Question? I have 9 plug ins on my website already and it is my understanding that to many plug ins will slow down your site speed. If I add this one do you think it will affect my website speed and performance?
Erin will answer you, but you might want to see this How to avoid using plugins that could affect your site? And how many is too many?
Yes, Jason. You might want to go through your current plugins and try to eliminate some that you really don't need before adding this one. You should have no more than 5. Here's what WA says about plugins.
"Plugins:
Too many plugins can cause slower page load times and deter users from coming back to your site. Keep your plugins below 5 to maximize the health of your site."
Zsolt (smartketeer) has a link for you.

Thank you I will check out the training but most of the plug ins I have I really need 5 is really a low amount of plug ins but I should listen to the experts. I guess I can dump classic editor and Ewww
Nope :(
In my opinion the schema markup is useful especially for product information, event dates, recipe-related info etc. Which is not my thing ...
But I've tried a few plugins and my favorite is this
