Find Trending Products at Google Trends
TRENDS OF AGES PAST.
Back in the day, when I was growing up, there were many fads and phases that trended and were hot for awhile. They were items that EVERYONE HAD TO HAVE because of their popularity. Take the hola hoop, for instance---a large ring that you swung around your waist and moved your hips to, making it swirl around and around. Or, the yo-yo, slinky, knockers, etc. (How many can you think of?) These were trendy products of purpose or pure enjoyment in their day.
CAN YOU TELL WHAT WILL SELL?
Imagine selling one of those on your site when they first came out and went viral! Using GOOGLE TRENDS finds products like these that you can sell on your site, getting in on the maddness of their craze!
A GREAT IDEA.
Choose two popular, competitve products or services and write a review on each. You may also do a case study afterwards to use on your site on how well they sold. Give your opinion on which one you like best, and then give your customer the opportunity to chose the one they like. By only giving two options, it increases the sales potential!
There are many avenues to take with this, and all will lead to more sales.
HINT: Choosing products or services of greater cost will, of course, earn you more profit!

There are all different places to find the most popular and trendy products on the internet marketplace today. However, the one I've found to be the most successful is GOOGLE TRENDS. Here, you can search product categories, view the charts, and choose the ones that are selling the best---and then sell them on your site!
Of course, since these goods are trending, they won't stay at the top forever. But, you can keep adding the top ones to your site, two at a time!

When you say sell them, you create a separate website, write content on products etc and do affiliate marketing. Just to be clear.
