Whether you have just got your site indexed on Google, have made your very first commission or have made thousands of dollars here, it's all PROGRESS!
We all have to start somewhere, and there are many ways to advance here.
Whether you are an avid writer or have no experience, it is still PROGRESS!
Whether you are an expert in Affiliate Marketing or are just beginning to learn, it's all PROGRESS!
Yes, PROGRESS comes at all different times in our life and at our own pace. The most important thing to remember is that it does come!
WE ARE DEFINED BY WHAT WE KNOW.
Look at Olympic athletes, inventors, internet marketing geniuses, best-selling authors, and anyone else who has accomplished amazing feats (achievements that require great courage, skill, or strength). They all had to begin somewhere. Just remember that you are also in line for greatness! Yes, we can all achieve anything that requires great courage, skill or strength.
If you think you lack at a certain skill or interest, all you need to do is work on it, learn and advance, perfecting what you're good at or would like to be good at. Looking at it in a different perspective can help.The above and below photos say it all. You can do anything you put your mind to with an honest effort. It won't happen overnight, but can PROGRESS over time.
THERE IS A TIME FOR EVERY PURPOSE.
Whatever your "purpose" is in life, there is a time for it. Yes, it WILL happen--and when it does, you will experience the lasting effect it will have on your future.
- BE PATIENT.
- WORK HARD.
- HAVE CONFIDENCE.
- BUILD MOMENTUM.
- BE PERSISTANT.
- HAVE FUN.
- MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Great post-Erin and thank you I needed to read that because I am progressing very slow but I am progressing.
I am working on getting more traffic to my sites I just I have to figure out which social media I want to use on my site that is for sure. I thought I knew but I didn't so now I am working on that.

Great "progress" so far, Mary! I use Pinterest, FB, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn. I have had "progress" with Pinterest, FB and Instagram. :)

I have just been reminding my husband of this since he is discouraged. The last job he iterviewed for last week seemed to be great for him and they said it would be a few weeks until he heard anything since the hiring manager would be out of state at a conference. Two days after the interview he gets an email saying they picked someone else. Since hiring decisions now go through a lengthy process of approval since we are in state government, we are pretty sure they already had someone in mind and interview was a sham to fill a quota...probably because he is a veteran. This sort of thing happens over and over and over and gets discouraging. He interviewed and they called his references for another job this summer. The hiring manager wanted him but our stupid HR people (who have been given ultimate authority now) said he wasn't qualified and that he should not have gotten an interview! He appealed it but it didn't do any good. He keeps trying but I don't blame him for getting down. They said his military experience didn't count because he was enlisted not an officer. There is no way they could know what his experience was since they don't have the security clearance to know. He job as a young Marine was very, very specialized and required high level compartmentalized clearance that is above and beyond what most Marines ever get. They put him into a box though that says he has no experience.
I need all the encouragement I can get and I appreciate my WA family and their great encouragement and can-do attitude! I am still talking to my husband about starting a website. He is interested but just beat down lately and feels like if no job wants him than he won't have anything to offer online either.
Thank you. He has a very stressful job with a ton of responsibility, directing 23 state troopers and arranging transport of prisoners between prisons and the court here. It is chronically overworked and underpaid. You would think a job where you are regularly interacting with judges, attorneys, the U.S. Marshalls, the prisons, the courts and the troopers and being responsible for getting all the prisoners to all their hearings, keeping track of all this in Federal systems and being responsible for the safety of the troopers, court staff etc. would pay more! He has to figure out which prisoners need to come from which prisons at what time, go to which courtrooms, be put in which holding cell (so they don't kill each other) control the cameras, elevators, doors, respond to the security people if someone brings in a gun or knife etc. and send the troopers to respond, respond to the courtrooms if they push the panic button etc. Then they call him on evenings and weekends too...and of course he is not paid to be on call!
Thank God he has you, Jessica, to keep him the right frame of mind! Remind him that all things happen for a reason and that, in due time, the perfect job will find HIM---and will come along unexpectedly that is truly meant for him. It's all in the Good Lord's timing! All his interviews are leading up to "progress!" Every step we take in our journey forward accounts for what is to come! Patience is key here. Maybe it will be right up his alley---or maybe he will find that he is, indeed, cut out for internet work. He will be led to the right choices..and they WILL come! Hang in there! XOXO

It is just hard on him to feel like we are already getting old and sick (we both have health problems) and all we do is plug along and try to be responsible when everyone else seems to have time to go play. A lot of people here either have high paying jobs or they don't work at all and get subsidies and still go out and buy new trucks, go on vacations etc. We just keep trying to be responsible and do the right thing. We still can't even afford a house though we are both in our late 30's since the average house here costs $400,000.
We are glad for his VA loan though so we could buy the 4-plex. It is a great investment, we are just stuck with apartment living.
I try to remind him we are moving ahead. We started with 4 roommates when we still rented the house. Then we had 3, then 2, then 1, then none...now we own our own building!
We wanted to adopt but wanted to have a house first...the apartment is pretty small for us and all our pets etc. I can barely make it work with my health problems so it's now easy to make that happen right now.

Progress it is! Slow but sure. Even moving backwards some at times could be progress. Did we know that a move in the opposite direction of progress, momentum could get generated, applied to the forward motion and then take us moving to the overall forward motion! : )
On trains it is called Dynamic Braking! Energy produced during braking could re charge batteries or power up accessory equipment on the locomotive!
