Getting on the right track.
After years of searching the internet and only finding one get rich scheme after another (I mean there are actually millions of them to find) and even taking part in some of them, luckily I never invested any large amounts of money, only to discover time and time again that there is no get rich quick scheme that works, I think we have all been there.
Being a sensible down to earth person with most of the time both feet on the ground, I do actually know this, but every now and then my imagination has been known to take flight and wander off in the wrong direction, usually only takes a few hours, maybe a week and there I am coming back into land on the carpet, back out of cloud cuckoo land with a few $ or € less in my account. Will I ever learn.
Just something has kept me going, I knew that I was willing to work and somewhere in this box of tricks called the internet there must be something honest and worthwhile going on, but how to find it. Many years and much scratching of the head and a lot of disappointments later, there it was, suddenly, who knows how I got there, I can’t seem to follow my route back to how it came about, there I was on a site introducing Wealthy Affiliate.
OK I said to myself, careful my dear, another one of those schemes, then I read Wealthy Affiliate University, well I always wanted to go to University, let me take a closer look. Sounds good, you can also start for free and if you want you can stay free. Ok let’s check this out properly and yes I will yet again tell somebody my email address, why not, thousands of others have got it.
I knew the moment the door opened, that I had landed and this time on the right carpet. Firstly nobody else had ever offered me two websites for free or so much information on how to create them and tons of information on Internet Marketing, willing to tell me all the things that I ever wanted to know. And the best of all a fantastic community where everybody is just waiting to help you and share their experiences, I just can’t explain without writing an entire book how fantastic it is to be in this place called Wealthy Affiliate.
Well after a week there was no way I was going to give this up and just had to join up with a premium membership with all its advantages, unlimited Websites, hosting included (the list is never ending). Now with everything I had ever dreamed of at my finger tips I just want to tell everybody who has ever joined a get rich quick scheme that you aren’t going to get rich quick on the internet ever, but if you are willing to work and keep plugging away at it then Wealthy Affiliate is the place to be. Just check it out yourself and see for free and forever free if you want. Absolutely nothing to lose. I know I don’t need to go flying off any more chasing some wild scheme, I am travelling now by train, on the right track, in the right direction, chugging along at my own speed knowing that success is just around the corner, with lots of wonderful stations to stop off at on the way. Jump on the train with me, you are going to like it and if not you can get off anytime you like. But I bet you won't want to.

Hi Helen, you should definitely put the train part on your website, reworded of course, for the search engines.
I think the majority of people here have been scammed at some point or another. For some reason we all fall for the nonsense of making money instantly. It really is crazy.

Unfortunately Beverly is right. I am glad you found WA. What you wrote sounds like what I felt after joining the free trial. I could not imagine giving up what I had grown accustomed to after only 7 days. The help is incredible, the willingness of others to give of their time absolutely amazing. Take time to pay it forward! It is what keeps this community so grand.

Hi there Helen, Its Good Friday today and I thought I'd take a day 'off' and catch up on the blogs, stories and websites of people I am following as there is so much interesting stuff to read. I just love this blog of yours and the analogy of the train. The first part of this post sounded just like I had just written it because I also kept on going into one after another GRQ scheme (Get Rich Quick). Unfortunately my imagination got the better of me too many times.
I feel sort of calm now, more than I have been for ages because WA and its community and its methods allow me to feel at ease and unless I stop there is only one way to go in safety and that is forward.
