My new health site with "no" backlinks
I built a health site earlier this month and created 1 relevant backlink, just to get the site crawled. I had previously stated I wouldn't build backlinks, just good content with long tail keywords.
The site was crawled but not indexed. I was getting some traffic - around 18 visitors a day from the search engines. Then I realized the backlink I had built was a no-follow, so I wrote a Street article to get a couple of do-follow links. I'll leave it at that and see what happens.
I'm just doing this out of curiosity to see what happens. I have had a couple of Pinterest links from visitors so will just keep adding posts and making sure my internal link structure is sound and my on-page SEO is good.

Do you still get spam? Know after I changed my plugin to GASP, my SEO is improved. Am reading all your posts, got to catch up!! Your SA article on Type II was good. Have cured many of my friends (and likely prevented mine) with lifestyle changes, exercise and two supplements. But which is your new site?
Nice them and plenty of good info. Are you doing keyword research? That is probably THE most important thing right now :-)

Hi Caylynn, http://www.club-diabetic.com/ is the new site I am referring to here. My arthritis site is plagued with spam so I put in a captcha. It's cut out most of it!
I have recently updated both themes to a much simpler and cleaner look. I had a girl at fiverr do the logos as I'm not terribly talented when it comes to design.
Good one. Type I is known also as juvenile, found in children and young adults and primarily hereditary. There have been great strides for the cure, especially known is Boston Children's. Type II new findings with chromium picolinate and grape seed extract supplements help regulate the insulin to a cure. Couple of typos, but we can still love your site! Keep your designer, will do you well. ^_~
