Blog traffic increasing slowly
My "no backlink" blog is getting an average of 30 visitors a day. However not many are coming from the search engines - mainly Pinterest and a few from Stumbleupon. I have decided to create a network of web 2 sites with links pointing to the main site. Then I can send links to those to add an extra level of safety.
Apparently Google has come out with the announcement that all manually built links have to be "no-follow". So it looks like these networks may be the way to go.

Good plan, keep moving forward with forward links from web networks. Nice to keep up with Google. Do you think Bing and Yahoo will fit into your plan? ^_~
Hi Lynn, from my experience Yahoo and Bing take a lot longer to index a site, but are very similar when it comes to optimizing :)
I wouldn't even bother if I were you. My rankings are just fine without any. Just social bookmarking.
Well that's good, but some of the keywords I want to rank for are quite competitive - even the longtails.
you should always go for low hanging fruit, atleast at first, besides, backlinks have a negeligable, and sometimes negative, effect on your rankings.

I thought I may keep this up. The blog is now averaging 50 visitors a day, mainly from Google, Pinterest and Stumbleupon. Bing has just started sending a few visitors, Yahoo not yet. I have been very lazy about posting - was not in the best of health for a while but ok now.
Not quite sure what i want to do in the way of monetization, although I have a link back to my Amazon book.
