Should I Give Up On Site Comments?
I had another site comment disapproved. This is the reason I received.
Back Story
When I tried to submit my comment, the site froze. I clicked "submit" a few times thinking that would resolve the issue. Alas. It did not. I closed out.
I always draft in Word and then copy it to the Site Comment.
I opened Site Comment again. Since the option was there to leave a comment for the same site, this caused me to think that it had not gone through.
So, I pasted my comment, submitted it, and moved on.
I am unsure how the comment got transferred to another story. This is odd. I would think that the blogger would just see the same comment twice.
Sure would like for the blogger to know what really happened. I am saddened that I have another disapproval on my track record. I am even more sorry that it appears that I copied someone else's comment and pasted it. I would never do this.
Leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.

I completely get that feeling. I’ve had my share of disapproved comments over the years, but that doesn’t stop me from providing them. It helps the blogger and it helps us. We just need to keep on eye out with our opinions and notice what the person is asking for, whether it be an opinion, discussion, etc.
Thanks for saying this. I will keep in mind what you are saying.
All the best to you!

Yeah those computer glitches can sometimes be frightening to see, even when you didn't intend to copy and paste someone's comment when you truly meant to copy and paste yours. This happened to me a few times. It's really nothing new.

I wouldn't give up just because of an error. It happens to the best of us. I have avoided using Site Comments for four years due to these same disapproval that made me unmotivated to continue to use them. I felt it was such a waste of my time trying to make comments by following the discussions on the topic but they didn't appreciate it so I stopped after a couple of times. I never use them ever again for my site at all or to give them. Due to biased opinions. Thats my choice to make.
Absolutely, Brenda. I think you told me this before when I was disapproved. I had not made any since that time. Just recently, I offered a few. This does not make me motivated to continue. As you say, my choice to make!
Thanks for your response!

I'm sorry to hear that, Hazel! Take heart, mistakes are made everyday day by many of us. At least your intentions were good!

Sounds like you've run into a software bug of some type, Hazel. The "other story" bit is probably not significant, just a standard response to "duplicate" content. Hopefully, the first one went through ok and the site owner just saw it once. In the long run, it's of little significance, so forget it and move on.
I will do just that, Phil! Thank you for this reminder. It is of little significance in the big picture. I will remember this.
