It has not gotten better
But, I have.
My husband, Butch, transitioned three years ago today, April 20, 2020. His departure was a life-changing event. They said it would get better. It has not. I have...even though I miss him every day.
We had been married for fifty-one years. We have two daughters, three granddaughters, one son-in-law, and one bonus son.
So, today, I played some of our music and cherished the memories. Please indulge me to share my family with you. Here we are!
He was known for being a sharp dresser.

My condolences. I have watched my mom struggle since my dad passed some years ago. She has many who love her and is very active, but occasionally in private to me she has had moments of grief that were heart wrenching to see.
I look at the pictures above, especially the one with your family and see his (and your own) special care take sprout and grow into a beautiful thing. Each one of those carrying on with energy that started from the two of you.
How blessed you two were to have fifty one years.

I know it's hard but honestly, you are at a turning point in the process - 3 years is a special time. You will always miss him but your loving family still needs you to share your stories together. You, better than anyone, know his jokes, his quirks, his passions, and now you get that opportunity to pass them on to the newest generation. That keeps him alive in their hearts as well.
