Boring? boring?

Sometimes doing what need to be done is boring. It is not always exciting but just plain old fashioned due diligence.Who says that things that are of real value and worth while are always riddled with a plethora of mystery?

You know when children say they are bored about something?

They whine a bit, and parents have to try to think of ingenious ways to get them out of being bored?

Or the really challenging outbursts that occur when the child is too young to understand that it is okay to just bear a little boredom for a few seconds?

Suppose I came to you and said I was bored with my job and after saying that to you, I had an outburst and stomped my feet like a brat in front of you. Wouldn't you think I was totally unprofessional in dealing with that boredom?

Bills to pay, people to take care of, life emergencies, etc. and I decide to deal with my boredom in that manner? You would think my behavior was quite extreme.

Yet, what are ways in which we deal with boredom in our efforts to achieving worthy goals that are like a bratty child not having his or her way all the time?

When you feel the urge to whine, stomp and/ or shout, here are some things to think about..

BOREDOM + GROWTH = MATURITY

MATURITY - GROWTH = BOREDOM

BOREDOM x TIME WASTING = FOOLISHNESS

PRODUCTIVITY + RECREATION = OPPORTUNITY

Times of boredom are great times of reevaluating your priorities in life. Be realistic about your boredom, but get up and keep moving forward!
