Ways to Be Sure One has Been Defeated
1 Sign a document with the commander of the winning forces making it official.
2 Concede verbally in some formal way to settle the matter for everyone agreeing you have been defeated.
So how can one admit defeat to themselves and really be sure they are defeated? Oddly many times one may question themselves about a certain concept to prove they have or are being defeated and then actually make things up to support the idea! Ideas that appear to be real yet are they?
It can take on a negative kind of nature, “ I just cannot do it” “It is too hard” “ I am not that smart” “ Things are just working against me” “I do not have time” and so on. Most major defeats amongst individuals defeating themselves reveal this kind of reasoning. Perhaps one is lazy and simply does not want to do much of anything so will nearly always be defeated before even getting started. Others may start off really well then encounter some kind of obstacle and imagine it to be something so big that even an elephant could not move it, then use that as a reason to imagine defeat may be making its presence known.
What boils is down to is that there are not really very many reasons that prove to be true if a someone who is claiming defeat examines these thoughts carefully. There is nearly always at least one and often many ways to succeed, complete, keep going, take it in stride, try a little harder, rest for a moment, take another look at the problem, and just keep right on moving.
One can simply look at abandoned projects to see what causes these problems. Most often neglect for some reason or other. Old barns and houses neglected that need paint and a few repairs, fields that need cared for, even one’s own shoes can come untied and if neglected cause trouble in continuing on the path desired. Websites are no different just easier due to not needing paint, nails, plows, tractors and lots of tools. Just your fingers and some thought and of course an access device, laptop or other.
Focusing in on the path, and keeping up on it and casting off these small fears that may arise from time to time will lead to finding that success. If one allows these winning thoughts to flourish success will be theirs. Small failures only prove to be learning tools along the way. Falling prey to the traps of laziness, despair, hopelessness, etc, and trying to catch them as one might catch a cold is silly and we can see the folly in wasting much time at all entertaining these kinds of thoughts.
I try to keep up a regular check up to see how many, if any, elephant -sized objects or mountains I may have created that are holding me back that in reality are nothing but the effects of my own imagination. Imagine your path clear, your resolve strong and your chances good and growing better on your way to a success and you will reach your goal.
