I took an unexpected break from working on my website - But it moved forward without me!
In January of this year, I posted to my blog the excitement I was feeling after my first website sale. I worked diligently for the next several months updating and expanding my website. By late summer I was seeing steady traffic and intermittant but regular sales.
In September, my wife and I decided to sell our house and downsize in preparation for the start of construction of our dream retirement home in the highlands of Chiriqui Panama.. The process of preparing our house for market, looking for a new house, packing, moving and unpacking was a long and tedious process.
Sometime late in November, after not spending any time on my website for the better part of 3 months, I started seeing notifications of sales at a fairly rapid rate. By the end of November, my sight logged over 1500 visitors and sales were good. I finally sat down and started looking at my website and quickly realized that many of my links had expired and my vistors were getting error messages. I quickly set out to bring the sight back up to current status which took two weeks of 8 hour days to accomplish.
The bottom line is, through Today, I have had over 1400 site vistitors in December and sales have tripled from November. I have had mulitple 100+ site visitor days already this month and today looks like it will be another. Almost all of my 28 indexed pages rank #1 or #2 on Google.
I just wanted to share that even if you are not able to devote all the time you should or need to in your website, if you have a good platform and give your site the attention it requires, business is there. It will find you.
Best wishes to everyone at WA for a joyous holiday season!
