New Facebook Feature On The Horizon
Dear Team,
This is to share with you a piece of news I've read about. It would be interesting for those of you who use (or plan to use) FB as a traffic channel.
It seems that Facebook have launched a new feature with regard to their Massenger service. It is called Messenger Broadcast.
At this stage, it is available in the U.S., Mexico, and Thailand.
It is all about sending a promotional content to users through Messenger service.
As usual, there are PROs and CONs.
The main advantage: with the new service it would be easy to to compose a title and text, add visuals, and create a call-to-action for the message recipients. The great news is it is free for now.
The main disadvantage: it could be accepted from the regular FB Messenger users as a feature that could add spam to their correspondence.
Anyway. We will see how the audience will react to this. Because the feature is in its earliest stages, how or if this ultimately plays out has yet to be determined.
Just wanted to share with you to be aware and those who are interested to use it to search for more info.

I have to admit that I haven't got any Facebook account, yet. I only have a Google+ account, which I haven't got used to yet either.
I'm such a newbie. I have been sceptic about social media, but since I joined WA I understand how important these platforms are when having a business. I have been procrastinating too long now. I hope I will overcome this hurdle with help of Bo's training.
Learning how to build an online business, marketing, blogging, SEO and so on takes a lot of time (at least for me) and in addition to all that, learning how social media works and maintaining those are quite overwhelming tasks.

I am in absolutely the same position, like you - not yet using but about to start, as a very important traffic source!
Google + and FB will be among the media I will start with.

I have heard of messenger bots and know people who are using them. I wonder if this is the same thing ?

Sounds interesting. Thanks for sharing! Sounds like testing ground for FB. It could make us or bury us further in the ground. We have to be careful. As you said, quality content will be the defining factor.
