lies and more lies
In this era of AI which dominates our world I have written how good the new versions are , Chatgpt5 and Claude particularly. They make a bloggers life so much easier and indeed better.
I also note that Google is about to stamp down on false and misleading materials. these include product launches that have a small entry and very large upsells . Free trials that are not free and all the other scam activities that have pervaded our lives.
We have all encounted one or more of these over time so it is a relief to see something happening that may save a lot of people a lot of money.
I know it is a marketing practice but not always a good one.
I enrolled for a product that would fix an issue I had, it was only about $15 so not the end of the world. To make this product work you had to buy a $149 upsell that promised the world. I did not need it that badly so under a 30 day guarantee i asked for my money back on the grounds of the upsell. The owner contacted me and said " What did you expect for that price off course you must buy the upsell . I did not get my money back or the product.
That brings me full circle to AI products and the ability to outright Lie.
I wrote a blog with Gemini recently and asked to include a "call to action" CTA. The answer was they would not promote any product that they were not involved with, nor knew enough about. Fair enough easy for me to tag Wealthy Affiliate to the end of it.
I asked another service to write a blog about an affiliate product . What I got was was a nice blog but it showed MY affiliate earnings over time. Naturally these were made up figures and represented what was possible except it said they were real.
Is this just as bad as an upsell in dishonesty?
I try and avoid such situations and actively maintain a line of truth even with promises that are possible , IF such and such happens.
Perhaps Google will aso take a stand on proof of income in there new reighn of enforcement, I hope so.

I would suggest doing your CTA's separate from your article and drop them in afterward.
Tell your AI what you want, give it an image URL from your media library and your link and let it go. Then make adjustments if needed.
This is a really important point, Peter. In an era of AI, maintaining honesty and transparency is more crucial than ever. I agree that Google's efforts to crack down on misleading materials are a step in the right direction.
