I have many apple products and have the AI features turned off. Apple AI is unreliable as it tends to hallucinate more than me when I am testing gummies and that is an issue!

Good post - Opinion: I suspect that Apple will want to enforce a 'walled garden' as much as possible in the future - ensuring your are staying inside their ecosystem when using AI. They have the luxury of plenty of money - in this case you can spend a lot of $$ taking on a costly & risky R&D challenge; or you can wait and see who looks like a winner and buy them. Sure it costs a bit more - but you know you have a winner. Old silicon valley model for tech 'giants' .
