In these times of tragedy, we need those who will stay focused and clear. Those who distant themselves from the why and who brought this in the first place.

The need right here right now is to just Be, to not give into the collective fear and incertitude. If we can keep calm and still, we will be that kind ear, that lovely touch, that compassionate word. Let’s for this very moment, remember that beyond our differences, beliefs and localizations, we are all deeply hurt, we are all bleeding inside, we are speechless and helpless to what extent we brought all this misery to ourselves.

When and where did we get lost? How images and videos of refugees and child’s corpse lying in a shore, have become just another “news”? How when Nigeria, Beirut and Syria’s people are massacred, we are not informed about it and suddenly every media out there is covering the city of light’s drama and victims? How did we end up with Them and Us? When did we shatter the human being love and compassion inside of us?

Maybe some principles could guide us in these dark times following Paris attacks.

1- It’s only love that we have to listen to

Please don’t allow fear to distract you from being there for others, for getting closer to your family, friends, and community, for seeing and being the light for those who need it. Get off the news or at least don’t follow it obsessively as it only feeds the fear and the incertitude, pour gasoline on the fire and nourish the collective fear energy that’s already getting stronger and stronger by weakened souls input around the world.

Remember that we are all suffering in this very moment of a secondary post-traumatic stress disorder (secondary PTSD) as your body do not make the difference between a tragedy happening to someone else and a tragedy happening to you. Watching the news filled with Paris attacks images will produce the same amount of stress hormones as it happened to you personally.

2- Focus On Your Daily Life And Keep Going

There are a great wisdom and acceptance on going on with the flow of life and keeping up with everyday’s tasks. Let’s use the energy of Paris Tragedy and all the tragedies happening in our world to supply our creative projects with authentic emotions of love, compassion, and service to others. What is asked from us is to channel the fear, the anger and the disappointment into positive ways to restore the world to its beauty and innocence again.

3- Give Yourself Permission To Feel Vulnerable

TV, news, and social media are all filled with the terror of Paris attacks. Where ever you go, people are talking about it and asking what is next for us? No wonder, we all feel emotionally drained and physically in pain. You need to honor your body, eat healthily and listen to your own sensitivity. Naming the pain and the fear with more TV or comfort food is not the answer! Go to that loving place in your heart and listen for guidance to breathe and heal.

My prayers to all those who are physically and emotionally affected by this tragedy.
