Lucky! And Fun! ~
It's Wednesday evening, just past the middle of the normal world's workweek, but here in our Community there's nothing normal about us or our work schedules! So I thought a little fun would be in order since so many of us feel very lucky to have found each other and this remarkable platform we call our second home. This is a place to come for encouragement, friendship, guidance and ever-expanding knowledge, for the kind of support that a lifetime best friend brings to our sanity when life gets crazy.
A few weeks ago, my lucky stars made it possible for me to be on stage in "the band" that accompanied a roll call of performers that read like a Who's Who in the current world of Broadway and musical theater. The evening featured the songs of a wonderfully talented and versatile songwriter by the name of Michael Mott and was the first concert since the release of his debut CD, "Where the Sky Ends."

That night was one of the most fun nights of music-making in my personal history, made exceedingly delightful by one song in particular, a duet between Michael and his best friend, Jeremy Jordan, whose name may be familiar to some from his work on TV's "Smash." Some of the insults in the song are based on knowing Michael's and Jeremy's work, but even if you don't get all the references, it's still a very cool, totally fun song!
So I dedicate this "Lucky" song to all the friends and acquaintances who are making my time here at WA such a fantastic experience--I am lucky, in so very many ways! (Oh, and that's me playing flute in the background when I'm not laughing at MM & JJ!)
All goodness, along with gratitude to my lucky stars (they know who they are!),
Gwynn
