I've been working hard since we got back from the treatment trip and have finally finished what will be my first page "sticky post." This is an introduction to the rest of the pages that will be included in the primary menu item of the same name as this post. It feels great to be making progress in building "It's Your Time ~ to Come Alive!" Thanks to all for the great support you've been giving me; the encouragement is such an important part of this process =]

Whether you've been struggling with pain and illness for a handful of months or a fistful of years, you've almost certainly experienced a roller coaster of emotions and a whole universe of fears and uncertainties. That roller coaster can take you to mental places you never could have imagined until you found your thoughts already there. In between the tar black valleys, you revel in the days that aren't so bad, but even on those rare and fleeting days, you catch your head spinning with the idea that you're really not physically sick at all, you really do have some mental illness causing the symptoms you can't seem to escape for more than odd moments in time. Gwynn you've come so far both in your personal journey and with your website. You, your website and your writing are all beautiful. My heart is with you. ~Marion

Marion ~ I'm a little behind in my messages and just read these beautiful words from you. You really know how to inspire and motivate a person! My greatest delight will be the opportunity to meet and spend time with some of the kindred spirits here in this WA community, and you're most definitely a woman I'd love to meet. Thank you so much for the gift of encouragement. All my fondest wishes, Gg

I can relate to that, I have a much better handle on dealing with pain and how I feel about things now. Thanks for sharing.

Your post and site Gwynn, reflects it's author.... Beautiful!

Thank you, Jon =] PM just sent! Gg

You are a gifted writer, the only problem I have is the broadness of the sentences, fairly difficult to read, besides that, great info

I broke up the very long paragraph for easier reading; thanks for your input, Loes :) Gg

I think your site is a wonderful place where a lot of people will find answers and caring. Thanks for sharing. :)

Gwynn, after studying medicine and people and illness for 60 yrs. there is only one thing I know with certainty. That is that if the body gets enough of all the things it needs, for long enough and consistently enough there is not much it cannot heal and repair. Unfortunately none of us are wise enough to know what all of those things are and in what amounts. It would be so much more helpful to patients sometimes for us just to tell them we don't have a clue with our present limited knowledge instead of starting to ship them around to the psychiatrists...kick the can on down the road. I have no doubt the physicians and others want to heal you but are unable and should just tell you they are at the limits of their knowledge.
If you are to be healthy again it will most likely be a result of your own wisdom and developing the ability to sort through all of the things that people will sell you with promises that do not help. You will get better and better at evaluating as you get wiser. The body has basic needs, best gotten from foods rather than from synthetics, though those are better than not getting them. There are many possible helps outside of mainstream medicine but they often give you more promises than help. Best wishes to you. Your writing is absolutely beautiful.
Harold

Hello Harold ~ I've sent you a PM and a couple of emails. I know this is such a difficult time for you, and I don't want to intrude, but I DO want you to know I think of you each and every day. Sending you my fondest wishes, Gwynn

That is beautifully written. I hope it leads to positive things for you and others looking for answers.

Hello Wesley! I left you a comment on your website and will do my best to write you a PM here soon. Please let me know if the comment didn't appear; I had an internet hangup while posting it. Looking forward to getting to know you, Gwynn

I been feeling this exact way for the last 5 years....probably more. I been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Rheumatoid Arthritis. Of course it took them 5 years from going to doctor to doctor. It was so frustrating I began becoming more and more depressed. I also thought maybe I'm imagining all of this. Maybe my wrist isn't really inflamed. I really could relate so well and you really touched all of the spots how someone feels with invisible illnesses and not much tests to go on. Like with me I'm seronegative. Only a good trained rheumatologist can diagnose you correctly. I just want to say you did a very good job!

Hi Judy ~ I wrote you a note last night from my iPad but today I see that reply isn't here; another case of words getting lost in the ether waves when I write from my iPad. But it's okay… perhaps I left something out that I'll remember to say today =]

Your message really touched a deep place of empathy in me; I'm so sorry you've had to endure the physical and emotional pain of an invisible illness. Our medical system leaves so much to be desired, doesn't it? I do have some information and personal experience with the pain of fibromyalgia for over twenty years; I'm not here to preach about anything, but if you're interested, just send me a PM and I'll gladly tell you what's calmed my fibro pain about 90%.

Inflammation is another area of interest; I learned last week about two more natural remedies to soothe both internal and external swelling and would be happy to pass that info along also.

Sending you a caring heart,
Gwynn

It's beautiful! I'm sure you're going to help many with your insight.

Hello Debbie ~ I just left a very excited message on your scrapbooking website! Thanks for your continued encouragement here on my blog. You're a dear… Gg

Thank You so much, Gwynn. You ARE an inspiration.

Truly awesome.....is is a beautifuly introduction to the help to come!

Thanks, Rosie =] I figure this will be a lifelong project, so I'm planning to be slow and steady. I appreciate your message! Gg
