i wanted to copy and paste pics of tools to put on my website from maybe amazon , homedepot ,dewalt tools ect. just pic no content i'll write my own and would those pics effect goo

That's generally not legal to do. Images found on another website are either copyrighted by the site's owner or he/she has licensed them from the copyright holder. To find images that you can safely use, type "free images" (without the quotes) into the WA search bar. You'll find a number of training and blog entries that list a variety of sources for them.

In the case of affiliates, though, their agreements frequently include permission to use images from the site you're an affiliate for. You'd need to read each affiliate agreement to determine what you can do with their images.

Thanks Bob glad i asked

what am I looking for when I buy a domain name with the .com .net there taken? does it matter long as I get the name I want

My advice would be only purchase a domain name http://with.com,.org http://or.net in that order. There was a half price for a reason they are not regarded as top-level domains i.e. TLD's. They are substantially hard to rank in most cases

Thanks went with http://bestcordlesstools.org

As Ken said,.org is fine

Great choice. Be well.

Catherine, nice to see you. Be well my friend.

Try .org it is the second most recommended.

.com .org and .net are taken. What's is up with other odd .names(.website .me .anyting) no what I mean are they worth buying? Some are half the price

The general guidance tends to be that it is much more difficult to rank a domain extension other than .com, .org, or .net (listed here in order of decreasing preference themselves). That said, it does depend at least in part on how you plan to market your site. Where will your traffic come from?

If your plan is to depend on organic traffic (that which occurs naturally as people search for your keywords, and find links and shares around the web), it is best to stick with the big three domain extensions. However, if you plan to rely mainly on other forms of traffic generation, there may be less impact on your potential for traffic with a .[anything else].

There are tools that can help you think of similar domain names to check a .com for related terms. One such tool is http://domains.google.com, which will check for availability of the domain you search as well as some synonyms.

Thanks for the help. That makes sense to me. I would think you would want as much traffic as you could get organic or other means.
