As I say in my profile, I've been in business most of my life and much of the success I have enjoyed has been as a result of mentors who were willing to help me improve. One older man who was working with me was talking about the competition we face in the business world. He said that you can beat about 50% of your competition just by getting out of bed in the morning and doing what needs to be done. He said you can beat another 25% on perseverance. In other words there are a lot of people that just don't have durability. The next 15% you have to beat by paying attention to detail, little details can make a big difference to the consumer. The last 10% he said is a dog fight. They love what they do as much as you do and they are motivated, just like you are.
As I was thinking about this analogy, I was thinking about how true some of it is. I have been part of a number of volunteer organizations and generally speaking 10% of the people do 90% of the work. But when I think about WAU, I am not so sure this is true. This is a community that has been developed and made available to us by Kyle and Carson to help one another. This is not so much a competition but a community that is designed to help one another succeed. It does not matter that some people may be working in the same or a similar niche. The point is, the internet is big enough for all of us, and there are more than enough key words to allow us to work around one another. Your success can contribute to my success and like wise when I succeed, I can use that experience to help someone else. This is a community full of mentors.
I can see that if you work the system, use the tools and people that have been supplied to you, that you should be able to find some level of success here. So ... are you a 10 per center? If not, don't worry about it, this is not a competition. You need to put in the effort, no body can do that for you. You need to use the tools to improve and get better. When you succeed, celebrate... and then don't be afraid to be a cheer leader for someone else.
One other thing, integrity. Your integrity is important, don't steal somebody else's ideas, key words or products when "helping" them. Good guys do not always finish last, and when I succeed I enjoy the feeling I did it honestly.
