I have tried to look for some information regarding where to get pictures from that I can use to build my website but haven't had much luck as everybody seems to be on a differe
hi - i find that stockfreeimages just port you over to dreamstime.com where you have to purchse them. Am I missing something? thx!
When you click on the link I provided, scroll down a little and you'll see 3 categories of images, choose the middle one that says "New Free Stock Images" and click on the "+ More" button to the right. Those are your free images.
As long as you stick with those you are not buying anything. When you right-click on any image in that category, you'll see the "free" label. If you don't see that label know that you may have clicked on another category unknowingly.
Hope this helps!
Hey there,
Technically you can't use them unless you know that the owner decides to give it away.
For example, in Wikipedia, the pictures sometimes can be reused because it is under Creative Commons.

There's a method to find pictures under Creative Commons(which means that it can be used without permission).
Just be say something like "Photo credit to owner" and link the phrase to the source site.
Hope that helped. If you still have any questions feel free to message me anything.

Can you use photos from google or other search engine on your site?

When searching in google try putting "public domain image" before whatever the image is you're after. That usually brings up host of free images.
I should add that you need to confirm that any image you use is free and in the public domain, don't just save it from Google images, you need to check the source.
