You have just started your training but you want to move fast
You begin to do each step of the training one by one but what you really want to do is to make your blog.
You have been told this is a journey but you want to make a sprint. You want to get something done.
So you are going to write some posts. You will probably feel better now but you forgot one thing or you didn't have it in mind or you didn't even think about it
You are writing to a reader who did a particular search and you need to answer that reader's search . You must help your reader solve a problem or at least answer the questions that your reader wants answers to.
DO THIS
Find out how to use Jaxxy and how to find a search term with at least 50 monthly searches and less than 100 QSR
NOW DO THIS
Write an outline for your post before you do anything else.
Introduction
Tell your reader what you are going to them
Topic One - Write a title for this topic
Now write 100 or 200 words about this topic and nothing but this topic
Put in a line break like the one below
Topic Two - Write a title for this topic
Now write 100 or 200 words about this topic and nothing else but this topic
Topic Three - Write a title for this topic
Now write 100 or 200 words about this topic and nothing else but this topic
Topic Four - Write a title for this topic
Now write 100 or 200 words about this topic and nothing else but this topic
Conclusion
Tell your reader what you just told them
Now at least you have a post on your blog that is half way decent and you can come back and improve it while you continue your training
Every time You want to write another post you absolutely must write about a specific keyword term and you must create an outline first
If you don't follow these guidelines you haven't made any progress at all. You have just wasted a lot of your time
As you do your more of your training you will get a better understanding of what makes a good article and you will be able to come back and update your post.
Now you have actually made some progress
Here is an example
Kirsty has worked as a beauty therapist and has built a website about beauty tips and beauty products.
Now she wants to write an article that will engage her readers.
She does a little research and finds a keyword that gets over 50 searches every month but there are only 30 competing pages for this term(QSR 30). The keyword is “How to take care of sensitive skin if you have spots and pimples”
Kirsty does some research and notices that the main concerns are
- cleansing their skin,
- moisturizing their skin,
- what kind of make up is most suitable for their skin and
- how to protect their skin when they are outdoors
To start with Kirsty’s page looks like this
Introduction
Topic 1
Topic 2
Topic 3
Topic 4
Conclusion
She now finds a free image of a girl who represents her reader and she imagines she is talking to this girl while she is writing her article.
She enters one concern under each topic
Her post outline now looks like this
Introduction
Tell the girl in the photo what the article is about in couple of short sentences
Topic 1 How to cleanse your skin
Tell her how to cleanse sensitive skin safely and with the best results
Topic 2 How to moisturize your skin
Tell her how to moisturize sensitive skin without clogging the pores
Topic 3 How to choose your make up
Tell her about what is the best type of make up to use on sensitive skin
Topic 4 How to protect your skin
Tell her how to protect sensitive skin from the sun and the wind.
Conclusion
Summarize what you have said in the article
Now Kirsty starts her writing based on giving useful answers to the concerns of her reader. She writes as if she is talking to the girl in the photo. She just starts writing and when she feels she has done as much as she can, she saves her work.
