Christmas Memories

Last Update: December 19, 2017

I just read a wonderful Christmas post from laparra1 which reminded me of my childhood in Poland, where every year in the morning of the Christmas Eve my dad, my brother and I decorated a 12.5 foot Christmas Tree. From what I remember we had a most beautiful Christmas Tree in our entire (huge) family. The only thing that makes me sad is the fact that nobody took any pictures to preserve those beautiful times for the next generations. While we were busy decorating the Tree, my Mom was "slaving" in the kitchen, cooking and baking all the Christmas goodies. We started celebrating Christmas with a special Christmas Eve supper called "Wigilia" and for the next two days we spent time with family members and friends, eating, drinking, laughing and enjoying this very special time of the year.

To all of the WA members, have a healthy, safe, full of joy and happiness Christmas and a wonderful, successful New Year 2018.

Grace

Childhood memories are the best. We used to have a 12th night celebration where all the church members brought their trees for a huge bonfire. A wonderful time with friends.
