Redirecting mental focus is a learning tool
Hi..!
I'm a new member and recently registered as Premium. I'm neither a total newbie nor some kind of expert, not a nerd or a freak, just hovering in between.
I've read a fairly substantial amount of posts since coming in and I'm glad to learn about things us WA members are most concerned with. These things affect myself as a WA member after all.
I like the insights of advanced members and truly appreciate the value of their knowledge and their concern for other members as well.
This is my first blogpost and in publishing this I'd like to be categorical that I'm here to learn for the most part and not to teach, even as we are encouraged to join discussions, not as much about saying what we know, as it is about the value of sharing what we do know, whether great or small.
In life, I like to listen more and speak less. I can see some members appear to literally be in some hurry to make money. They have set some kind of a goal and it looks like they are hard on themselves to keep up with it.
It's not their fault of course and it's good to know that advanced members are around to take them by the hand and walk them through. In that way the focus is shifted from the drive towards the money and redirected temporarily towards the need for learning more about the WA system and how it works.
I'd say that my own experience proves this.
I started out thinking constantly about how I'd make money--only to have my mind refocused into trying to understand more about the system.
I was surprised that I had almost lost sight of the money goal as I dug deeper more and more into the dynamics of the Wealthy Associate program, what it does, and what members can do with it.
I was amazed to realize that my desire to know about the system became more urgent than thoughts of the rent and bills that constantly tortured me. What I'm trying to say is that somehow I've been able to prioritize matters and put things into their proper perspective.
This shift is perhaps what has made me become a better person, I don't know.
I can't really say that my vision of the ultimate goal has diminished or if I'm right about my mindset for now. But I certainly feel some good has come to me in taking time off thoughts of cash flowing in my direction and realigning it in the meantime on the WA resource to get a good handle of how it works.
