Asking questions is a great way to ensure your content is aimed at your intended audience. The purpose is to expose contradictions in your thoughts and ideas. It will help you identify areas that need to be addressed or possibly eliminated.
Who is your audience? If you can't answer that you probably need to find a different niche.
Why do they need to visit your website? Because I have the information they are looking for to solve their problems or fill their needs. Hopefully this is why you built your site.
What are their problems or needs? Identify the benefits of your product or website.Be thorough. Use cause and effect; cause being the WHY something happens and effect being the WHAT that happens.

Why am I putting this on my website? Is it pertinent? Does it fill a need? Does it solve a problem?
Do I have a call for action? Did I tell them to do something, e.g. go here, click here, sign up here, etc?
Do my images match my content?
I could go on and on. Whenever I get writer's block or clueless about what I should write next, I start asking myself questions. Actually, I write them down.
I don't know if this will help anyone or not but I thought I'd share my thoughts just in case it benefits one person.
