At a minimum, lose the background?

I hear you. I did some research on the psychology of color in logos and that's why I chose the blue background. But I'm really liking the first one more and more because of its simplicity.

The first and the third. First is very clean and attractive. The background on the third makes the logo and the orange really snap out.
