Have you ever wanted to put your website on pause while you are working on updates or even wholesale changes?
I published several pages of my website and wasn't very satisfied with the results. I also wanted to change the layout. I wasn't aware that once you hit the publish button you couldn't take it back. Yea, some people will get a good laugh out of that. Like, what did I think the publish button was for???
Sure, I could make changes but in the meantime anyone stumbling onto my site would see something I didn't really want to be seen. I actually received comments. Probably wouldn't matter in the greater scheme of things, but it bothered me.

I did a search and found the plugin Easy Maintenance Mode. It was really easy to install using the plugin tab in your dashboard. After activating the plug in another tab appears in the dashboard called, you guessed it, Easy Maintenance Mode. Click on that, select the enable button, and your done. Log out of your site and check your website. The following message will show:

Site will be launching soon, Thanks for visit Our site
I am now a happy camper again.
