Progress Thus Far-Thoughts And Reflections

I am just into my fourth month here at Wealthy Affiliate and wanted to do a post on my progress so far.

I have 16 published articles so far, 13 of which are indexed. Overall, I have really enjoyed writing most of the articles but I won't say that it has always been easy. The biggest thing I have found is that the most important thing is decided you're going to do it no matter what. Don't procrastinate and put it off. Stick to a schedule. I aim for two posts a week right now but I don't always hit it.

It felt like I had written far more articles than I really have but I think that's the way writing goes. You put so much time into it but a lot of that time is spent doing things like writing rough drafts and editing.

I am about three quarters of the way through level 4 of the training. I have been devoting the majority of my time to writing articles and increasing my traffic so I have slowed down with the training. I am still being consistent with it however, I am not blowing through it like I was which is probably a good thing as this point.

My site traffic has been slowly but steadily increasing. I am at just over 130 visitors a month at the current time which is a big improvement from what it was last month.

As far as social media, I am devoting the vast majority of my time to Twitter and Pinterest and have had some great results. My Pinterest traffic has gone through the roof lately and I am currently at 4.3 thousand visitors a month. I'm over two thousand impressions on my tweets in the last week which I think is pretty decent considering I just started it.

As far as sales, I have not made anymore since my first sale a few weeks ago but I'm hoping that will come in time as I increase my traffic and continue to produce quality content.

My biggest issue at this time is deciding where to put my attention for any one day. I try to make a plan but I don't always follow it. Since the addition of using social media for my blog, it is easy to get consumed by it. I am working on maintaining balance in each of the areas so that I do not neglect anything and continue to improve.

Overall, I think it is going well and I have learned a ton in the past four months. I think I would be shocked four months ago if you told me I could make this progress and learn all that I have in this amount of time. I would like to thank the members of this community for always helping me out when I needed it. I know that you will continue to be there in the future and I will be there to help as well any way that I can.
