Lost Track of Days
Working two jobs 14 hours a day, taking kids to triathlons out of town and life in general has gotten in the way these last few days.
I am still working my way through the action plan. I am now waiting for the time to count down so I can move on to the next lesson (lesson 4?). I think I'm getting an idea of the big picture here.As affiliates. we create web pages, blogs, squidoo pages, articles, and other content. Using key words and SEO we optimize our content to be found by our potential clients who use google and other search engines in order to maximize the traffic to our sites. On our sites will be links to our affiliate companies sites which our clients will visit and hopefully spend some money at from which we get paid. All I have to do now is learn the mechanics of actually putting this all together.
If I understand keyword optimization, it is a balancing act between finding keywords and phrases that lots of people actually use with finding ones that return fewer hits when used (less competition). Sounds like supply and demand with the keywords representing demand and the web sites they return representing supply.
I now have accounts at Linkshare, Performance-based affiliate network, clickbank and am waiting on Shareasale because I've messed up my web site stuff somehow. I bought a domain (walkgently.ca and at first had it redirecting to an affiliate link. Then I changed web hosts to WA and tried to link it to a squidoo page but am having some difficulty making it work. I'm seeing lots of potential here but feel like I am still trying to get the gate open.
