Initial webpage theme setup

So, as many before me have done, I need to set up a website theme. Maybe I am the first to have this problem (I doubt it). I am trying to set up a consulting business website, NOT A BLOG.

When I choose a theme to build as my website, it does not have any of the cover pictures and does not look like the initial website page that I see in the theme selections, before I choose it for my website. Absolutely every page seems to be set up for blogging.

I like some of the pictures and the way the site looks (button and link locations). When I built my website on HostGator, it had all the default pictures and I could change them out if I needed. Then all I had to do was fill in my content.

If there is a way to see business style set up themes, not made for blogging, that would be great! This is very frustrating and I wish there was a search function on the theme selection.
