I keep skipping over the writing part of the lessons. I have writers block and don't really know what to write about. Is it all about reading information from every website and

Write about yourself, and all your ambitions. What you are doing with your life now, and where you would like to advance. We all want more out of life. What are your dreams and ambitions. Joe

Hi Jackie,

I see in other comments that you chose a making money niche. That's a great niche and one that many people are looking for.

So I do several things for inspiration. I think about what questions would someone who wants to make money ask. Then your post answers the question.

I often go to facebook groups that are about making money or look for forums that are about making money online and I read the questions that people ask. This gives me inspiration to answer the question with a post.

So I then go here and do some research to decide what keywords to target for that question. Pretty much my post here on Wealthy affiliate: Covers how to write a post using my Easy Blog Method.

I hope this gives you inspiration. Please just do it. It doesn't matter how good or bad your first posts are. It matters that you do it often and your writing and inspiration to write will come easily and improve over time.

I wish you much success!!

I also had a hard time starting. Writing content is still something I tend to procrastinate on.

But to start, you want to look for keywords in Jaaxy. Getting some good keywords will help with which direction you want to go in. Remember, your website will be content relating to that niche. So you don’t have to include every little tidbit of information in just one post. You’ll have the opportunity to get all your information in other posts.

So for example your first post could be “what is a ketogenic diet” or “what is a keto diet and how does it work”. With all the research you’ve done on it already for yourself you should be able to write organically about the subject. There’s lots you can write about. Your following post could have to do with menu plans, shopping lists, which foods to avoid etc.

Before you start to write your content figure out the points you want to touch on for that specific post. It also helps to write out your headings ahead so that you know exactly what you want to write about and how your content will flow.

Once you write your first post it gets a little easier each time. Don’t think TOO much about it because you’ll never move forward. Just write and publish. As you go along you’ll find that it’ll come more fluently. Best of luck to you!!

thank you for all that advice. comforting to know that it will get easier.

What niche did you choose?

well, it was a money-making niche.
But wasn't sure about that, felt like a lie because I haven't made any money online. so I went to aketolife. I am on the keto diet. it is working and I am doing a lot of research on that because looking for ideal recipes.

oh okay, well if keto (and the health niche) is what you're into and you think you can come up with content you should go for it.

My advice?

What can you promote? What affiliate programs for keto diet related products exist? I think clickbank will have some keto products.

If you're getting writer's block even before you get going, though, then maybe keto diet isn't the right niche after all?

What do do when you get writer's block? (in any niche?)...go to other websites. Yes, get ideas from them. Write down your ideas. Don't stop at one website, visit loads of them. What are they writing about? What are they promoting? There's your content ideas. Of course, you cannot copy (that's a big no no)...but it's fine to get ideas (topics to write about).

Write a bunch down on paper. make sure you write enough ideas down to gauge whether or not you're going to like writing this stuff. If you don't enjoy it, then perhaps something else is better for you.

Finding a niche is one of the hardest bits, but once you find it, you'll be excited. You'll just know it's the right niche for you....

Hoping someone else will also chime in with ideas for you.

Thank you so much! as always great advice.
working through the alphabet soup, found lots of content now. how do I know it is organized correctly. the words don't flow out that well, yet

organized correctly? There's no set order really. With my site, in my niche, I wrote my WA review first. Because that is my "money" page. (one of my money pages anyway).

But there are no set rules.

Create something useful, some info stuff on recipes like you mentioned. Benefits of it, etc. Your experiences with it, etc.

BEd time here in sunny thailand I'll see you in the morning!!! Nitey nite!

Writing is not my cup of tea either. Let's face it...I'm not a people person and I'd much rather text vs talk to anyone on the phone.

Here's my take on it. Write like you're talking to your best friend. Have you been excited about anything before that you just wanted to share with ? When you do, you don't just drone on in a mono tone voice. You have that edge of excitement. Take that style and translate it into your writings.

You don't have to cover every feature or write a book on the subject. The true path to success is getting people to trust you as an authority in your niche. That means talk to them as if you're great friends. Share the dislikes along with the likes. Make an opinion as to which model of X you like and why. After you have a few of these posts in place, assuming someone's reading them, you'll start to build that connection, especially if they agree with your likes, dislikes and reasons for them.

This is where I find having a niche in a hobby you enjoy or a trial or tribulation you've experienced makes sense. You can talk to it with authority. It can be you love of drones, SCUBA diving, sailing or your bout with cancer, etc. If you're passionate about it, it will translate in your writing.

As for how to write I take the following approach:
Come up with my primary topic and keywords.
Break it down into supporting mini-topics.
Support those mini-topics with content.

An example might be this:
Say you're into photography and one of your biggest pains is lack of storage or fear of losing those precious shots. You could come up with a topic such as "The Top 10 Portable Photography Backup Solutions". You could then have a few supporting topics as to why you might want or need such a solution. They could be "Can you afford to lose a day's images while on the job" and "Are you tired of running out of storage space when on a shoot".

Next is getting into the current offerings. You can do it in a couple of ways. You can make a sub-topic for each brand/model. Here you can list pros, cons, give them a score from 1 to 10 or maybe multiple scores based on category such as speed, reliability, portability, etc. Or you can make a sub-topic for each feature and list which models are best for that particular feature (an example would be user-changeable battery packs or built in display screen for instant reviewing).

In the end it's just a matter of time and a little practice. Before you know it you'll be writing 2000 word posts like they were nothing.

wow! Thank you. I will just do it. ( me trembling.lol)

Feel free to bounce stuff off me if you want feedback.

thank you

On the site that I chose it has 4 different sliders. is that okay? This is the first time that I have tried to build out a website. you make it look so easy, but when I try. th

don't try to make your site too fancy at the start - too many flashy bit ill distract from your articles.
just a basic site with good quality articles will outperform a flashy site with poor articles. people are there for the info, not to gat distracted.
with the review - chek out what other members have written on the subject by using the search bar -there are a lot of opinions on it.
what would you like to see in a review - scribble it down - no editing and see if it akes sense in your niche - then compare what sections you have written down with your competitors in your niche.

I need a little bit extra help with this website?
