Are They Inside Your Head?
Hello WA Rockstars,
A lot of us will come face to face in this Journey with various conversations. The one big conversation that may arise is the "You'll never make money doing this."
One of the biggest things I had learned to do when I got clean was not to let people control my thoughts or emotions. Not letting the world dictate how my day would go I control that.
I had set out on this Journey because I had a dream and it wasn't their dream to take or dictate the outcome. I've seen many people in my lifetime walk away from a dream due to people entered their mind and convinced them their dream was just a dream.
When I'm confronted with that conversation I'll look them right in the eyes and say "And how do you know that?" 99% no response. You see most people I encounter that say that have either walked away from their own dream or never even took that leap of faith.
Remember this is your dream Not theirs Don't let them in your head.

Thanks for this. I have many people saying "This wont work" especially my wife ! but I will carry on. I cant wait till the money starts rolling in ! just to show them it actually was worth it !
The nay Sayers in my life actually got into my head and I took some time off and even relapsed because of it. I have been here for 4 years and staying was the only thing I did right. Now I am back and I am not looking back, EVER.

Never a true word said David. Live your life not someone else’s. I’ve encountered this throughout my life but I’ve always steered my own path. I’m stubborn you see. Sometimes they’ve been right and sometimes wrong. But if you never try how will you ever know if this was the one you were waiting for.

Thanks for the inspiration. As I struggle with understanding of the website set up, last night, I thought of giving up...but for what? I've done this journey for 20 years...and to give up now, so close to destination??? Uh uh... I will push through And break the ribbon at the Finish of the marathon.

You have no idea how timely this article is for me. You are so right.
Last night I was chatting with my sister in law. She always shares my posts and likes my stuff on Facebook. The subject of money came up. She suggested I get a job.
This stung, I explained my website is my job. My husband makes enough to cover our bills currently and is very supportive of the website. She proceeded to tell me my website isn't a job.
When I tried to defend it she went into what can only be described as a tirade. Telling me she has always been supportive and I should quit making it about me and just go get a job. This devastated me emotionally.
You are right. I need to stop letting her opinion control my emotions. The reminder could not have came at a better time.

I understand how badly this hurts. Next time your sister what her dreams are? This turns the conversation around. Does she like her 9-5 job, and her boss? What is her vision, does she have one? Then invite her to join you on your journey Don't let the bad guys get you down!

Unfortunately she has no paying job. She is a stay at home mom. Don't think she has any dreams to speak of. I have listened to the advice here and decided her opinion is of no importance. Thank You
