A Thought is Taking Root

While putting my nonfinancial goals on paper a thought ran through my head that is now becoming a burning desire. Of course, I then read SKC's blog post about being connected, this gave me pause, that just maybe with a little research and help I can make it happen.

I am an avid reader and feel very passionate about books in any shape or form. I wonder how many children this Christmas season will be getting a book to read? In this age everything is done on electronics, which is a poor substitute for a good old fashion book in hand. this is when my thought process goes even further and wonder how many mothers read to their kids and inspire them for something better. To me this is not too evident today. I feel that books should be in the hands of every child. Not just school books but the classics and adventures, something the child can get caught up in instead of looking at a screen for 8 hours a day with violent video games. I am pretty sure where I live there is not a program like this and after Christmas I am going to research and pursue this avenue for my local community. However, I have not the first clue how to go about making sure every child has a book, but God has put this thought and desire in my head so I must explore the possibilities. If there is one thing I know about me I need to write my goals down, which I have just done here. Any suggestions on how to start this endeavor would be greatly appricated.
