Our problems shape our needs

For most people, problems are what shape our needs. As humans we don't like change. So if you think about it most of us have some problems, it's just that they are not big enough to do anything about. Not yet anyway. Or there not percieved to be big. Just big enough to whine and winge about. Being overweight, smoking, drinking, not having enough money, rising debt, poor relationships, old dangerous car, etc etc.

We percieve change as pain not pleasure. So that pain keeps us stuck until the problem becomes so big we have to do something about it. Procrastination ring a bell. We can be stuck for ever. Just look around you at all the overweight, broke, stressed people. Reality is a good heads up.

I wanted to keep this short. So I was thinking the only way to realy get going, was to have a good look at the problems and see them as they are. Not just now, but there efect on my future. Then maybe change will not be such a bad thing.

Your thoughts would be appreciated. Can you relate with what I am saying or do you know someone who is in pain, but not enough pain to change.

One last thought.... Is it possible people have not even thought about were they are at and were they could be...

I concur. There are a lot of things I've done in my life because things finally got too bad. I wish I would have done something before it got to that point, but there's a learning curve.
However, there is a contradiction here as well. There are people that basically have everything they need, but yet that isn't enough. They always "need" more. Be it more money, more things, more drama, more good deeds, more, more, more.
I do have everything I basically need, I would just like a little wiggle room.
You've got some good points here, thank you for the enlightenment =)

Thanks for your add. Why not want more, I say. Stop progressing and we lay stagnant like a stream with no flow. Smelly and useless. Keep flowing and growing and progressing. when we have more we can give more.....LETS WIGGLE...
