Website Creation - Teaching an old dog new tricks

WA Community, glablue28 here, I am off to the races with my first website. Thanks to all of you who have posted your messages of assistance have really been an enormous help getting me to this point. I do thank you and I hope one day to be as educated as all of you with website development.

My website is in it's infancy phase currently. I've quickly learned that every step I take must be fully understood by me, I call it the learning curve. I will be calling upon the WA Community for assistance when I am at an impasse.

My career has been in the oil and gas industry for 40+ years. I've managed, by the Grace of God, avoided the industry 'Roller-Coaster type slump periods' when it comes to layoffs. But this current slump in the industry got me and June 1st 2016 I found myself unemployed. There is a dim light at the end of the tunnel that shows some improvement for onshore based activity. I wished that I would have found this Wealthy Affiliate opportunity back in June. I would be well on my way toward opening new avenues in my life. But as my grandmother always told me as a very young man "When God closes one door he always opens others with new opportunities" she was a very strong influencer in my life and still is today. I do look forward to being educated by the WA Community and training modules so I can be as proficient in Website Development as I am Drilling for Oil and Gas anywhere in the World.
