Wassup with Site Content?

Site Content Is A Great Platform, But...

I was writing a post on Site Content today, and had several issues in getting it done. This is my whine for today. Here's what happened, and if anyone else has experienced any of this, you have my sympathy.

I got a couple of paragraphs written, saved it, and then went out to confirm some research. When I came back, I found an unauthorized link added to my post. I had to unlink it.

I wrote some more, saved it, and again left the post to look something up. When I came back, my post had two more unauthorized links added. I unlinked them too.

Then after about a page, the page froze up and would vibrate up and down when I tried to go to the next line. I was using Chrome for WA, so I closed it out and went to Safari. Same problem.

I went back to Chrome again, and after about the third try, it finally worked again and I was able to finish my post and get it published.

I published it without backing out of it because I was afraid I'd end up with more unauthorized links attached.

The published post is fine.

OK, I'm done whining, but I think Site Content needs some tweaking by Support.

I'm Grant.

Sorry about your problem. I tried posting only twice without success. I post articles to my blog—best of luck with your next post.

Thanks.

Grant,

Sorry about the frustration this caused. I haven't seen this. Yet. But thanks for posting, I learned a lot from this and also from some of the answers here.

No problem, Greg. Thanks for checking in. I'm hoping that the Site Content problems are just growing pains and will be fixed soon with an update.

I had an issue like that a month or 2 back and I simply saved what I was writing, closed completely out of Site Content. Logged out of WA and cleared Chrome browser data and came back, logged back in and never had the problem since then.

I did something like that, and it worked from then on for me too, but that was just yesterday. We will see how it goes in the future.

I don’t use site content anymore, I write in Wordpress as it saves me time.

It does, but I like the tracking feature in Site Content, and how I can download images from it. I'm going to use it for a while longer if it doesn't screw me up again.

I hope it works out for you. 😊

I'm sure it will. You just have to keep an eye on what it's doing I guess. I'm going to write another article a little bit later this afternoon. I'm anxious to see what it does then.

Hi Grant, thanks for sharing that information. I'll be watchful of unauthorised links.

Wilson

Yesterday was the first time that happened. I'm not sure why. Hopefully it was a one-off.
