i want to grow my MLM so I can support my favorite charities for children in need.I have come to WA in the hope I can build a community of friends for advice and get mentoring p

I have only been with WA for a couple of months, and I see great potential in whatever business(es) a person has, MLM or otherwise.

This is not about me, but this will give you an example of my opinion on this subject. My site is focused around helping people with issues of heart disease, and the flagship product is manufactured by a network marketing company that I represent. However, my main purpose and goal is to educate and inform, so that I can increase the quantity of people I can help. It is not to build a down line, although some may want to join with me in me effort to save lives from the #1 killer of men and women in America today.

Giving to charities is noble and praiseworthy, so I encourage and exhort you to go forward with your business. And keep your focus on the main thing - helping those in need.

Hi Allan,
Thanks for the reply, I agree there is huge potential to be tapped into with WA. I to wish to help others also and some of my focus is on that, I need to help myself first so I'm in a better position to do that...all the best with your prurpose.... :-)

Hi Stephen,
I recently joined WA and are loving it, I came across your question whilst looking for some answers to a very similar question. I noticed it was 10months so would love to know how you've got on so far! Has the MLM / Charity marriage worked so far? Did you get any feedback from your site? I'm hoping the feedback will be all positive! Interesting that we had 2 experienced WA's give such different answers! Would love some comments from you and advice before I go any further with my idea, I'm looking at doing a similar think with my affiliate site. Thanks in advance for your support with this.. :-)
David

I do not think this guy is here anymore because there has been no post from him since this one

Your reasons for wanting to grow your MLM business for charitable purposes are admirable and noble. If I understand correctly, you want to use the vehicle of MLM as
a fundraiser for your charity donations.

"Marrying" your MLM income with charities on your website is not good or bad. It's just not relevant to anyone who visits your site.

By itself that would not persuade me, and probably not anyone else, to join your MLM program because it makes no difference to me what you do with your money.

Sorry for being so blunt.

The fact that a renowned doctor, such as Dr. Andrew Weil, is giving the thumbs down to MonaVie would be of concern to me, enough to keep me away from buying the product. Time Magazine named him as one of the top 100 people in the world.

I am wary of juices and health products that can be bought solely through a distributor and not off the shelf.

I've been thinking about your question since we last communicated, and here is my answer - which you must understand is just my opinion

I don't think donating profits to charity will help your MLM grow faster.

What will make your MLM grow faster is learning how to brand yourself as an individual in your own right through your website and leveraging the internet to generate visitors and potential buyers.

Wealthy Affiliate can help you achieve that, which is what Daniel was saying to you,
albeit expressed in different way.

I only wish you had an MLM opportunity that did not carry as much negative baggage as MonaVie (dubious reputation and deceptive advertising practices).

~Jude

yeah Daniel you may be right-but my question was will donating profits to charity help my MLM grow faster- what is the difference between giving from affiliates profit and MLM profit.I haven't asked anyone to enroll or buy my product-I just want to build a successfull website and make money same as everyone else,my motive may be more selfless in my desire to give back

Well, I have a good answer for you. My one-word answer to this is YES!

Look at the site you are now at. In 2005, Wealthy Affiliate was a mere keyword list site which offered some pointers on Internet marketing as it was back then. The owners Carson & Kyle (I believe Carson started this) were in college and started becoming successful at affiliate marketing to the point where, in about six months this was bringing in substantial income for them. They partnered with each other and offered the world something virtually no other site owners did - they paid it forward. Couldn't be called "charity" but was the same thing - "giving." Folks were entitled to monthly keyword lists generated by K&C themselves, but they went above and beyond by offering training in affiliate marketing where any others were charging for these extra services.

If you will look in the main menu you will see "Keyword Lists." Yes, embedded in our platform here is still the very core of what this site used to be. Pricing is STILL the same as it was for those who pay yearly. I could count on one hand and perhaps two fingers on the other, the extra services they offered on the earliest versions of this site. Now you have to look pretty hard to see the core of what WA was all about in the beginning, but one thing for sure - giving was always the backbone to this site.

Giving is not only the backbone, but it is actively taught here.

I adjure, that if you do as planned, you will become extremely successful, whatever legitimate business model you use. Most do not give. They provide services for a price. Online, there are up-sells. It's extremely common. Of these, the ones that are wildly successful are those that happen to use insidious marketing tactics.

You give to your people, they will give back. Just look what we have here!

There is no difference in "giving" from affiliate profit or mlm profit. Giving is giving. You have answered your own question: "I just want to build a successful website and make money." Exactly. That you want to "give" your earnings to charity is irrelevant to the success of your website, as I explained in my above post.

You can mention your interest in charities in your About Me page.

Concentrate on building a successful website that generates targeted traffic of potential prospects who are interested in your offer. ~ Jude

When it comes to basic campaigns, WA can help you, but WA specializes in affiliate marketing, not MLM. Since all websites have common traits you can benefit from the knowledge you will get from here. Writing to reach audiences and SEO are both things you can use that are taught here

hi Daniel-it will be interesting to see if others agree with you.
I was sent to WA by an affiliate member with a lot of experience as she believes the web building tools and mentoring here are what I need to progress
The key words and SEO are what in my opinion will make the difference between showing up in search engines and being passed by which is currently what is happening on my template website supplied by Monavie
Time will only tell either way
My daughter said today my web site name needs to be short and unique to stand out in keyword searches, she may need to do the starter course with me
Sorry this is a bit long

You don't know what "long" is until you've seen some of my posts/replies LOL!

Yes, the implications you've listed below are definitely some of the ways this community, tools, and training on here will be helpful to you.

Because members see "MLM" in the title, it may be just you and me on this thread.

will MLM work via a website, and more specifically Monavie who preach "face to face" cold marketing.I do have a company website that I know isn't drawing traffic.WA's web buildin

starting to think I should be focusing on my 5 charities and include my MLM to show where some of my bonus income will be directed== but do people really search online for charities to support ? and will the fact I give from their spending really going to encourage other's to open the purse strings, quality product's not withstanding

It would certainly encourage me to spend! Are you passing the word on google, facebook etc? Good luck

Yes, you can make your MLM program the "product" on your website. The alternative is to create a niche site for fruit and vegetable juicing, and then amongst other related articles, you can highlight your MLM program with your links, plus offer tips and strategies for building an MLM business. It is entirely up to you. ~ Jude

Hullo Jude-I don't want to get involved in giving tips,I have enough trouble building my own MLM which is why I am here.I am just looking for enrollees and customers for my Monavie distributorship and promote the products so I can support my list of charities from my income-it still amazes me how few people have heard about the company and it's product's.I know face to face isn't my style but I am getting better at it,belief in and consuming the products really helps

Then your obvious choice is to build a website focused on your MLM business. That's fine. You don't have to give tips...lol. But you do have to create quality content for your website if you would like your site to be ranked in the search engines so that potential customers find your website and your product. ~ Jude
