To Feel Guilty or Not To Feel Guilty. Time Away
It has been 6 months since I became a Premium Member. I was so excited to have built my first website, became Google ranked, and even had one sale. But I was still not generating traffic... Amazon emailed me and said I was going to lose my Affiliate Association because I did not have any orders and CJ told me the same thing. Needless to say, I was discouraged. Perhaps I chose the wrong niche... perhaps no one is interested in birds or as excited about the type of food or feeders that bring specific types of birds. So.... I took a break. Actually, I stopped all together and even considered quitting. (Understand I am working full time, just got married, AND have a 23 year old living at home going to college).
Quitting lasted about 3 weeks. I decided to start a new website - instead of the "Get Started Here courses, I started Affiliate Bootcamp and was going to try my hand at my other passion - saving money. I created the first page and life simply decided that I needed time away and was going to force me to take it regardless.
So, here I am, 2 months later, with renewed excitement about working on my websites. What I do is work on one website one day and the other one the next day. It has helped me to not get bored with one website. Do I have a ton of traffic yet? No. But my sites are still "babies" compared to other websites. Yet, the break allowed me to think, reflect, and find myself wanting to press forward.
So, if you are in a rut, find yourself stressed, or otherwise simply wanting to quit, maybe a break would help. It may be only a day or a week. Maybe a few weeks... What I have learned is that this process (and it is a process... an adventure to be enjoyed not to be sped through) is as individual as the person behind the computer.
Most importantly, take care of YOU.... Don't give up (permanently)... just take a breather, reward yourself for completing a page or a review, and then back to it. It DOES pay off!
Respectfully,
Ginger Bryson-Harbin

I agree, sometimes taking a step back allows you to see things differently and more ideas will flow once you take the pressure off of yourself.
I always believe that things will come into your life when you are ready to receive them
