My WA Journey so far......
Well - it's been about a month since I Joined WA and I feel as though I have learned a lot in that time! I have only really created one website but I Do intend to start at the beginning again and create at least one more. My first site - http://gilleve.com is dedicated towards helping people to lose weight in the way that suits them, whilst also documenting (via blog) my own weight loss journey as it continues using meal replacement shakes. My second site will be about a great passion in my life - iin fact, one of the subjects that I actually teach about out in the real world - Aromatherapy! How it can help absolutely everybody and be much more beneficial and enjoyable than using traditional medicines.
Back to my first site though. I beleive the biggest mistake I have made with this is choosing the wrong URL. I wanted a diet specific site name but none of the ones I came up with were available so I opted for a reflection of my name - not a good idea really I think! Oh, OH! I intend to try out some different themes too to see which I prefer, I am presently stuck on Hiero which I used before upgrading to Premium membership. I am sure there will be much more appropriate themes for me to choose from.
I have made a mess of adding my social media buttons to my site so I need to go back and remedy that, along with adding more content to some of my blog posts. I am a big believer in "Why use one word when twelve will do" so - knowing that about myself, I think I have made the mistake of keeping my blog posts too short - for fear of overwhelmiing people with too much information!
I am about to finish the second module of training here in WA and when I have done so I believe I will go right back to the beginning and start over! I am getting old and sometimes repetition is the only way for me to actually take things on board!
My goal in the next 3 months is to complete my first site to my satisfaction and make my first sale. My 6 month goal is to have completed my second site around Aromatherapy and to have built up a regualr income of up to say £500 a month, which would make me very happy indeed!
I would love some feedback on my site from y'all and suggestions would be great too!
Thanks for reading!
