I hope that I won't mess up describing what I would like to do, so here it goes:

I have a few pages on my websites, the classic About Me, Home, Privacy Policy, and a few

It is a good question and I think you have described it accurately. I see that you have received more than one response, so that is good.

Category Page as Rich says or make an item in the main menu "Kids" as a regular page with its own url but wth nofolow, noindex attribites so that Google dooes not take care of it. Then make a gallery with images on this page, each clickable, that lead to particular pages. This is what I am doing a lot, I find it elegant and good for navigation.

Thank you, I have managed to do what I wanted to do thanks to Rich and you.

You need to assign "Kids" as a Category to all your kids posts, and then add that category to a menu, in Appearance > Menus. Then when a visitor clicks on Kids in the menu, only posts with that category will be listed. :)

Thanks, I have tried doing something similar, but what is shown in the video is not what I want to accomplish.
I don't want the pages in menus to be "unclickable" I want them to be clickable, and the click takes you to the page, and when you are on the page you can see all of the articles related to that page under a short introduction.

The majority of your content, and especially if you want it to be grouped, needs to be posts. You can't assign categories to pages only posts and this is what you need to do. You then add those categories into your menu, ie. Kids, News, Reviews and when a visitor clicks on them, a page opens listing all those posts which have that category.

"You can't assign categories to pages and this is what you need to do." How do I do it if i can't do it? Sorry, but I am confused now.

You can't assign categories to Pages only to Posts.

Got it! Thank you for your help, I appreciate it.

You're most welcome! :)

One more question if I may. What is your suggestion, based on your experience: Should I do what I want to do (put categories in header instead of pages) or should I write out those pages, and put links toward categories on them?
