Amazon link question
So, all you guys advertising with Amazon links to products, a question.
When I place the product link I always use just the picture, and not the little Amazon branded box with the price detail.
I am wondering if one gets more clicks than the other, as my click rate is not good although my visitor numbers are climbing. Do they realise it's a clickable link if only a picture, should I put a 'please click image for more detail' phrase alongside? To be honest I prefer the aesthetics of just the picture but if it affects my click rate I will remove them and replace with the blatantly obvious selling link. What if I put both, will Google the be upset there are loads of links?
Any thoughts from you guys would as usual gratefully received.

I think there is a lot to be said for using the full Amazon ad with text + image because of (1) brand recognition and (2) the "Shop Now" call-to-action on the button.
I also use Amazon shortcodes to insert clickable text links in the body of my blog post. (Get shortcodes from Sitestripe if you use it when on Amazon.)
One more point. If you want people to click on the Amazon ad, you should tell them to do it. You can do that as part of the natural flow of your blog copy.
Nice one, thanks for responding, I will maybe test both and see what occurs!
All the best
