Showing Off - Condescending

Hello there. In this post i would like to talk about showing off and being condescending.

I think today people show off more than they should be. It's cool if you buy something expensive or generally buy something and want to show off to your friends. That's showing off the good way. It's all in the attitude of how you do it.

I'm sure you can figure out if someone shows off and it doesn't tilt you and if someone shows off and sounds and looks like he owns the world or something(arrogance). Well even if you own the world, it still isn't an inspirational way to show off.

But i guess people who show off like that(the arrogant way), will continue to do that with every thing the can (even if they buy an orange juice). For me, i will just avoid these people and talk to them as less as possible. Life's a drag already with many problems, no need "smart" people knocking on my door or my brain.

Condescending is very dreadful these days but people practice it well mostly as a defence mechanicsm. You condescend people because you know they will try to do the same to you.

It's like stepping on others' heads to make your way through. Some people practice it as a power abuse thing (they might be in relatively higher social or financial position and might use it to "power" down others that they don't like).

I get it people need to blow steam. When i play games, i might say something bad about a person too (well i try to be as reasonable as possible but anger or other emotions have no reason). The thing is that i don't do in public or something (I might write something if the person went way over his or her head or i just mute him/her).

Well after writing all the above, i think determining where to send each thought or reaction is what matters most. You send it where it counts and where it might have some impact (well of course we head for positive impact but things go wrong).

I made something like a rule that if things get heated with someone, the next day (or even hour possible) i might forget it happened and don't keep it up afterwards. That's hard to do but holding a grudge doesn't do well with your health in the long run. And smart people want to live peacefully and not hold grudges or anything.

If there are people asking for trouble, let them go to others to find what they ask for. Why must be me to "give them what they want".

If you have any experience or opinion about this topic, i'm all ears! Hey as a closing off, i put a link to an anime intro(Well most of us use music to cool down so do i since like i was a teenager).

Note : (As we all know, nothing is perfect, neither are all the lyrics of a song. So, everything useful i take and the other i discard)

Note 2: Remeber what Einstein said about bees (This earth will die if bees die). Bees will find in a place with 1% beauty they go there. Flies in a place of 1% dirt will go there.
