If your G-Suite is an autoresponder then I have some bad news to share with you... autoresponders do not work on WA servers. I too tried and failed.
However, what I did learn is that you need to be very careful with autoresponders. If the website is not setup properly... or gets hacked, you could find that a hosted autoresponder could cause the domain to become blacklisted.
This is why autoresponder services have been created. But, if you know what you are doing, you should be okay.

My G-Suite is not an autoresponder, thankfully. I've realized that once I pointed my domain to WA servers, I have not been able to receive email from Google Suite on my mobile devices and laptop. This is a big deal breaker for me.
Ooooh... now I think I understand. This would be because you will need to setup your forward to gmail from the WA server. Here's a tutorial to show you how to do that: Create an email forward to forward mail from your website email address to your gmail address
