Edit Your Pictures

You can post pictures on Facebook really easy. They are usually resized automatically to fit their format. I like to post in groups to help drive target traffic to my site.

You can see the image is not sized right above. The easiest way that I found is to use Paint. Paint is an app included on Windows. While there are more sophisticated programs that are free, like Draw on Open Office, and Inkscape. I have tried both of them. I still try to use the simplest tools available. I can edit my photos like you see in the picture above. I can resize my photo, which I have not done. I can save my creation as a JPEG.

When I use paint to resize my photo, I click File, Save as, add a name and file extension JPEG, Bitmap, GIF, and make sure my directory is in photos. It's so easy, I have made business cards, and want to resize several times to get the perfect outcome.

I can open a picture and click on the letter "A" in the dashboard. Click on the color, and start typing my text. Save it with the same process. I'm done and ready to post my image.

On the other apps that I've tried there is no save file as JPEG extension. So, you have to save it in a different format. Good luck getting that format to open right. Maybe if I took a course on their program I wouldn't have troubles with it. Right now I am still taking a course on WA.

I have been told that you can screenshot your work on the other programs, and save the screenshot as a JPEG or other extension that works without a college degree. Perhaps one of my readers could blog about doing just that.
