i am confused if i should say somethings of WA in my about me page
You don't have to. Your About page is about you and what your site is about. If you feel like mentioning WA, you can. I like to point people to my WA profile ie. you can find me over at WA (with a link).
You don't need to talk about WA on your about me page. You can talk about your goals and what motivated you to start your own site. The about me page is to give your customer a change to some insight of who you are. Build a rapport and gain trust, if your over use the links then it will look as though your only in it for the money.
But you can say things like your new to online marketing and you want to help others ect...... :)
It's not necessary...trust me you'll have plenty of opportunity to talk about WA. Just be genuine and let people know a little about you.

if not how about if my niche was about updates of some popular soccer teams around the world?
As suggested by TheGryophon, you definitely want to break it down. If you went with soccer you would soon find that you had a mess unmanageable site. Good luck. :) Beverley

Soccer as a whole is way too broad a term to be a niche. Your suggestion for updates is still pretty broad, but if you were to refine it a bit further, it might be doable. Working with that idea, you could start something like a curated content site where you pull in information about the major teams, leagues, players, and/or competitions. Depending on where you live, you may want to slant the whole site in favour of your favourite country of team. As you get more familiar with marketing and your market, you can refine what you are doing.
Overtook hockey in popularity not so long ago!
You have some mindmapping to do to nail something down there. I'd rip some ideas through the simple Keyword tool to the left.
And Remember, it's the web. It should be visionary! (if possible).
