I Have Reached A Crossroads at WA
The reason I started bootcamp was so that I could promote WA but I have just completed Course 4, Lesson 9 and I am not sure what direction I should take now. One of the tasks I had to complete in lesson 9, was to create a screen-cast video to promote Jaaxy.
I signed up with Screencast-O-Matic and set about making my video. I followed the instructions carefully and made a video of the Jaaxy training. The video came out perfectly but with no sound. I studied the tutorial they give you but discovered that I could do nothing about the sound.
Can anyone tell me how to put sound to this video?
The reason I say I am at a crossroads is, do I continue and complete bootcamp or should I start looking at becoming an affiliate for other marketers? WA appears to be too competitive, with not much chance of making any sort of a living.
Any comments and advice will be most welcome.
Garth

A lot of niches are competitive but that doesn't mean that they are unassailable. It is just a case of keeping at it, continue to improve your work, not expect too much too soon and not be put off when something doesn't quite work out right.
My personal decision has been to work on my own chosen niche to begin with and to set up a website to promote WA as a sideline. Both a re projects in their very early days so I can't comment on whether it is better to promote WA or your own niche, but the important thing is not to give up but to find a way to do it better.
I believe when you start a website to promote Wealthy Affiliate, you can always compare it with other programs that you could still earn commissions with.
I know Wealthy Affiliate is second to none in online platforms out there. What I can say is that if you know a program that is good i.e. Bring the Fresh or Affilorama, you can always use their links in your site and end with a link for Wealthy Affiliate.
People will still join a program that is not necessarily as good as Wealthy Affiliate.
My FINAL word is that you need to research other programs which are good or even bad or scams and compare them with WA in your site with links to their Affiliate programs and that of your WA.
I hope this helps.
Hi Garth. I have just looked at your profile again and couldn't find any mention of your hobbies or interests. Since you have already got a domain name and a nice looking website targeted for a specific age group for promoting WA, I would not give that up. I would just develop it a bit further by adding posts about your own experience, what you are learning, and related topics. What I would suggest is that you now go through the green 'Get Started Here' certification course and start a second site about a niche topic that really interests you and that you already know something about and love to read and talk about.
I do think that the WA niche, being basically a 'make money on the internet' niche, is very competitive. I personally would prefer to have had success in another niche before promoting WA so that I could both help new people when they come and also honestly say that it has worked for me.
Just my opinion... and sorry, I have no idea how to make a video...
Hey there my friend! I can not give you advice on your personal life, but I can say this. 1) affiliate marketing in ANY company takes a lot of work. 2) WA is not actually that competitive... it may seem that way because we see it every day! 3) Think outside of the box. I am working on something now that will be completely outside of the box. 4) Go with you heart, after making a sound decision on what is best for you!
Garth, I am earning a little money promoting WA. I have been here over 4 months. You are also most done with the lessons so I would continue. If you want to promote an affiliate, you should take the Certification courses. Debbie
Thanks Debbie. That's what I thought I would do. Complete WA and then go back to the certification courses.
Not sure - why you didn't get sound - but should have tested the sound before you start (it does tell you to do that). I'm not sure how to go back and add sound but if you just google it as I did a lot of you tube videos come up.http://d.pr/i/APkJ
Should you continue with Bootcamp? It is competitive but that doesn't mean you can't be successful it in. However, if you're not enjoying it or have decided that it's not for you - then choose something else. :) Beverley

Hi Garth at the bottom of the "screen capture page" you should find the mic volume(should be green). Make sure the volume is turned up and you can record to test it out. Hope this helps. Cheers Patti
