The Summer of Discontent In America? Nope, It Just Looks That Way.

On The 4th of July.....

It's America's Independence Day, and I Wonder What the World Thinks.

Often times, this past year and a half, as the American process of electing a new President took on deeply divided, weird, and even sometimes comical dimensions, I have wondered how my Wealthy Affiliate companions over seas and beyond our American borders, could possibly still have any serious respect whatsoever, for us here in the United States.

In fact, I worried that you worried, whether or not we would even survive such an upheaval event, without another war between the States.

But survive we did, I guess in more ways than one. And although we undoubtedly still look like one, great big dysfunctional family, everything actually seems to be working. And it's largely because of one of the most magnificent documents ever written.....The U.S. Constitution.

It pulled us through. The process worked as it has for 241 years, and the peaceful transition of power took place. Whether the results are right, wrong, good or bad, they remain to be seen, and are for the history books.

On July 4th in 1776, the original 13 American colonies informed the Kingdom of the British Empire they were declaring their independence from the ruling royalty by unanimously voting for what would become our Declaration of Independence, and the United States was born. Almost 12 years later the U.S. Constitution was ratified.

And even after all we have been through this past year and a half.....the name calling, the bickering, the personal attacks and fighting......we still can come together and celebrate the original founding, on our Independence Day, the 4th of July.

So for the Wealthy Affiliate world out there, be assured.....although we may look crazy, weird and sometimes completely out of control, America is still America. It always will be!

............and we're going to celebrate and party, big time.
